(Renton, WA) The WIAA 4A Boys and Girls Seeding Committees have completed their work. Below are the seeds. Time, day and location of Regionals are still to be determined but will be next Friday and Saturday. We will continue to update this post as that information is finalized.
Quick explanation of the Regional Play-offs. Seeds 1-8 will face each other with 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5. All 8 teams are advancing to the Tacoma Dome with the winners of these games moving straight to Thursday’s Quarterfinals and the double-elimination round. The losers of the Regional games will have to play on Wednesday, opening day of State and the round of 12 in a loser out, winner to quarterfinals round.
Seeds 9-16 will play in the Regionals with 9 vs 16, 10 vs 15, 11 vs 14 and 12 vs 13. These games are all loser out, winner to the Wednesday games, round of 12 at the Tacoma Dome. They will face another loser out game and will need to win 2 games in a row to get to the quarterfinal round.
