The Spring sports season is barrelling toward May and the post-season. So we thought we take a look at where all the baseball league standings sit with about 3 weeks or left to play before the play-offs beginning with the League and District tournaments. We’ll re-cap the final 4 from each State Tournament and update where each of those teams are currently standings plus post all leagues current standings from across the State.
1B report is first, 2B update at bottom of the post.
The 1-2-3-5 seeds all advanced to the final 4 and of course it was the 5th seeded Naselle Comets who came away with the big trophy. Naselle was clutch in all 4 state tournament games beating Crosspoint in the opener 4-3, then Almira-Coulee-Hartline 5-3 to get to the final 4. In the semi’s Naselle knocked out #1 DeSales 4-2 and finished with a 4-2 win over Mt Vernon Christian for the title. #2 Liberty Christian who lost to the Hurricanes in the semi’s then beat top seed DeSales 8-4 for 3rd place.
So this year the Naselle Comets are off to a 5-2 overall start and sit in the current RPI as the #7 rank. Mt Vernon Christian from the 2B/1B Northwest League are on top at 4-1 and 6-4 for the season. Liberty Christian plays in the Southeast 1B and look to be ready for another serious run with a 5-1 league mark and 11-1 overall. DeSales is just behind them at 3-2 in league and 7-3 for the year.
The top RPI team is undefeated Almira-Coulee-Hartline at 11-0. #2 is Liberty Christian followed by Crosspoint at #3. The #4 ranked team is Sound Christian Academy with Northport checking in at #5. Again, Naselle is #7 with DeSales at #11 and Mt Vernon Christian at #13

Tri Cities Prep came back in dramatic fashion to beat the Adna Pirates in the 2B State Championship game last year. It was a crazy final 2 days for the B’s with day 1 being played in Ephrata but then after a rain storm rolled in with thunder and lightning they moved the 1B Championship to Moses Lake and the 2B’s to Yakima Valley College.
Tri Cities Prep were the 4 seed and upset #1 Brewster in the semi’s 6-4. Adna made a big run in postseason as the 11 seed and had Prep on the ropes before TCP pulled off a walk-off win in the bottom of the 7th. Adna advanced with a 5-1 win over #2 seed Toutle Lake setting up the #1 vs #2 but for 3rd place that Brewster got with a 5-2 win.
There are no undefeated teams left in the 2B’s and 4 teams with 1 loss. Tri Cities Prep is off to a slow start in the Eastern Washington Athletic Conference with an 0-2 league record. But the Jaguars are 10-2 overall. Runners-up Adna is again doing battle with the Ducks of Toutle Lake in the Central 2B league. Both are tied at the top of the league standings at 9-1 but the Ducks are 11-1 overall and the Pirates 9-2. Brewster looking for redemption in the Central Washington B league is 7-2 and in 2nd place behind 5-0 Liberty Bell. The Bears are 7-4 overall while L-B is 7-1.
The top RPI team is the 12-2 Riverview squad in the EWAC at 12-2 overall. #2 is Jenkins (Chewelah) at 9-2, then comes the defending champs Tri Cities Prep at #3, Cle Elum is #4 and rounding out the top 5 is Adna. Toutle Lake is on their heels at #6 and the Bears of Brewster are at #17.
