Saturday June 14th is the start of the 18th edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Co-Hosted by the USA and Canada. The 16 competing teams will play in 14 venues across the 2 host countries. A majority of the matches will be held on the west coast as the FIFA Club World Cup is being played at the same time primarily on the east coast. These two tournaments act as a precursor to the 2026 World Cup that is being co-hosted by the US, Canada, and Mexico next summer.
The 2025 Gold cup opens group play with defending champion Mexico taking on the Dominican Republic. Just 3 teams have won all 17 Gold Cup titles with Mexico winning 9 followed by the US with 7 and Canada with one. The Group stage goes from June 14th- 24th with the top 2 teams from each group advancing out of the round. The finals are set for July 6th at NRG Stadium in Houston.
