(DuPont, WA) The first round of the Washington Women’s Amateur and Mid-Amateur Championships is complete at The Home Course. These are 54-hole competitions. The winner of the Washington Women’s Amateur Championship receives multiple exemptions, including an exemption into the 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Oregon, in August. The winner of the Washington Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship receives a lifetime exemption into the Washington Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship, the 2026 Washington Women’s Champion of Champions, and the 2026 Pacific Northwest Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship.
Women’s Amateur Championship
There’s a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard, with everyone at 1-under. Bonnie Lo from Taiwan, Darae Chung from Eugene, Oregon, and Grace Lee from Bellevue all shot 71 to hold the first-round lead. Cienna Lee from Lacey and Maia Miller from Snoqualmie are tied for fourth, just one shot back after even par 72s. Lily McCauley from Olympia is solo sixth at 1-over. Angela Zhang from Bellevue, Suzie Tran from Poulsbo, Amber Li from Bellevue, and Emersyn Walker from Lakewood are all tied for seventh at two-over.

Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship
The Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship has a gross and net Championship. Tina Papatolis from Issaquah holds the first-round lead after a 4-over 76 in the gross Championship. Desirae Clarke from Puyallup is in second place at 5-over, Mandy Wong from Mercer Island is in third at 7-over, Leslie Folsom from Tukwila is at 8-over in fourth place, and Christina Millan from Covington is fifth at 11-over.
Yoomee Mun from Tacoma leads the net Championship with a round of 2-under, leading Mison Kang from Renton by three shots.
