SEATTLE, WASH

The Seattle Kraken acquired Mason Marchment from the Dallas Stars in a trade dealing 2025 fourth round pick and a 2026 third round selection on Thursday.

Marchment in 62 regular season games last season tied a career high scoring 22 goals and tallying 25 assists.

Kraken General Manager Jason Botterill mentioned the offseason would see the Kraken take aggressive moves towards being a contender. Adding Marchment is a step in that direction.

Botterill said in a statement, “Mason adds an important skillset to our roster…He’s a veteran player who brings a combination of size, skill and toughness. Mason knows what it takes to win, having been part of deep postseason runs with the Stars. We’re excited to have him join our group.”

Marchment was set to be a $4.5 million cap hit for the Stars which induced Dallas to deal the forward to Seattle.
