Yesterday, PWHL Seattle participated in their first PWHL Draft, filling out their roster. PWHL Seattle selected six players in the draft: four forwards, a defender, and a goaltender.
In the first round, PWHL Seattle had the eighth and final pick. The team selected Jenna Buglioni from Ohio State. Buglioni won two national championships and played in four straight national championship games with the Buckeyes. Last season, she was captain of Ohio State and holds the program record for game-winning goals in a single season and career. Buglioni is from Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada, which is on the eastern end of Vancouver. In 40 games last season, Buglioni had 17 goals and 28 assists for 45 points, all of which were third on the team.
The second-round pick was Hannah Murphy, a goaltender from Colgate. In the third round, they selected Lily Delianedis from Cornell. The fourth-round pick was Jada Habisch from Connecticut. With the 40th pick in the fifth round, the squad selected Lyndie Lobdell from Penn State. In the sixth round, PWHL Seattle took Olivia Wallin from Minnesota Duluth, who had 40 points in 39 games.
