After a historic win over #19 Western Washington on Saturday, Saint Martin’s freshman Hanna Ligons was awarded GNAC Defensive Player of the Week. This is her first Player of the Week award. Ligons had 10 blocks in their upset sweep, just the second time she has recorded 10 or more blocks in a match. Ligons leads the GNAC in blocks per set at 1.76 and was third in the NCAA heading into last weekend. She helped Glacier Peak make the 4A State Tournament in her junior and senior years. The Saints are sixth in the conference with a 2-3 record and are 9-4 overall. They travel on the road to Northwest Nazarene on Thursday and Central Washington on Saturday.
