(Seattle, WA) After adding another State Championship, Rainier Beach is heading into the 2025-26 season with a big splash. The number one recruit for the class of 2026, Tyran Stokes, has enrolled at Rainier Beach for his senior year. Stokes was attending high school in California, and his status was up in the air as to where he would go this year. Stokes holds a slew of scholarship offers, but via his Instagram page, recently made a post suggesting he’s limited his college commitment decision down to three schools. Kansas, Kentucky, and Oregon.

Rainier Beach is coming off winning the 3A State Championship in March and will be going for its third straight trip to the title game. Coach Mike Bethea is looking for his 10th State Championship with the Vikings and adding to his remarkably stacked résumé. Rainier Beach hasn’t won back-to-back titles in over a decade, when the Vikings won three in a row from 2012-2014. Jamal Crawford’s son, J.J., will be a freshman on the Rainier Beach squad, and Jamal is listed on the roster as a volunteer coach, as he was on the coaching staff last year.
