State Championship
#2 West Valley (Spokane) 1, #1 Columbia River 0
The most anticipated match of the weekend took place in front of a loud crowd in Federal Way, with West Valley completing a perfect undefated season with a 1-0 win over Columbia River in a true clash of titans.
West Valley did what the Eagles did all season, dominating possesion and allowing very little attack from Columbia River.
The Rapids however showed great defensive solidity, and the teams went into the break at 0-0 after an electric and energetic first 40.
West Valley would continue to push for a breakthrough and keep Columbia River in a defensive shape, and that breakthrough would come with 10 minutes left, as a cross into the middle from Jenna Howe led to a scramble in the box, eventually being turned into the back of the net.
West Valley would see out the win for their first ever state title, doing it in incredible fashion with a 22-0-0 record and 152-0 goal difference. One of the greatest seasons the state has ever seen.
Columbia River finish 2nd for the second straight year.
The Sumner Holiday MVP would go to Rylan Windhorst, the sophomore defender anchored a 22nd shutout win for West Valley.

The Seahawks held on, and finished strong to pick up a historic third place trophy.

Semi-Finals
#2 West Valley (Spokane) 1, #6 Hockinson 0
The last team in the state with a flawless record in 2025 was able to maintain perfection, as West Valley picked up a 1-0 win over a scrappy and defensively sound Hockinson squad.
The Hockinson Hawks opened up the game on the back foot, narrowly avoiding a couple of West Valley chances and getting out on the counter-attack via Bridget Brennan on the counter attack. As the game went on West Valley was able to settle into the kind of possesion dominance that they have become accustomed to during a campaign where not only have they won every game, but are yet to conceed a goal.
Hockinson however stood strong defensively, with excellent performances from freshman defender Allisyn Watson and junior goalkeeper Audrey Armstong keeping the Eagles off the board.
The teams went into the half tied, a rare sight for a West Valley team that averaged seven goals per year during the regular season. Incredible on-the-ball creative ability was displayed by West Valley winger Chloe Van Wey, who gave fits to the Hockinson defense. Van Wey would be rewarded with ten minutes remaining, getting on the end of a Kailey Willis through-ball and slotting it beyond Armstrong for the games first and only goal.
This was the first time in 2025 that a 2A team held West Valley to less than five goals in a game, and just the second time they’ve been held to only a single goal.
West Valley goes to 21-0-0, advancing to the programs their second state final in three years. Hockinson falls to 16-6, and will play in the programs first ever third place game tommorow.
The Sumner Holiday inn MVP was Chloe Van Wey, who’s electric attacking play was the difference for West Valley.
#1 Columbia River 4, #5 Anacortes 0
The undefeated top seed Columbia River Rapids advanced to their second straight 2A final witha convincing 4-0 win over the Anacrotes Seahawks in the second 2A semi-final.
Anacortes were able to get some early momentum through physical play and quick movement through midfield, but Columbia River were the more incisive early on. The first clear chance of the match for Columbia River came on a through ball towards Angie Malagon, who was fouled by Anacortes goalkeeper Emerson Eckardt. Junior striker Remi Buckley converted to ensuing spot kick to make it 1-0.
Columbia River would convert a second time with 10 minutes remaining in the first half, with Makayla Hundt roofing a goal to give the Rapids some insurance.
The second half would start much as the first had gone, with Columbia River in complete control and Anacortes unable to mount any kind of attack. A halftime substitution would put senior Mia Kennedy in net for Anacortes, and Kennedy was tested often in her sweeper keeper role. Kennedy would be up to the test until a rash attempted claim from Kennedy would lead to the second penalty kick of the match for the rapids. This time it was sophomore center back Raegen Dukes who stepped up and blasted the penalty into the top corner, 3-0.
A late rebound goal from freshman Keke Mabini would be the cherry on top as the rapids secured their second trip to the finals in the last three years, setting up a date with another undefated squad in West Valley. Anacortes are still garunteed their best ever state finish, as they take on Hockinson for third place.
The Sumner Holiday inn MVP would go to Raegen Dukes, who led the Columbia River back line, handing Anacortes their first shutout off 2025 while also converting a penalty.
