SALT LAKE CITY, UT

Mason Marchment scored twice, but the Seattle Kraken dropped a 5-3 decision to the Utah Mammoth.

Ben Myers also scored for Seattle late in the game after Utah scored a pair of empty net goals to put the game out of reach.

Utah had five different Mammoth score. Nick Schmaltz, Kailer Yamamoto, Dylan Guenther, JJ Peterka, and Lawson Crouse found the back of the net for Utah.

The Mammoth came into the game on a three game losing streak. Conversely, Seattle recently ended their six game skid with an overtime win over Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

Period two saw Mason Marchment score on a backhander 3:35 into the second period to give Seattle a 1-0 lead.

Utah countered with Nick Schmaltz and Kailer Yamamoto 4:15 apart in the middle of the period to put the Mammoth in front 2-1 heading into the second intermission.

Mason Marchment tied the game for Seattle at 7:50 of the third period to put the Kraken right back into the game. That lead was short lived when former Seattle Thunderbird Dylan Guenther scored on the power play to reclaim the lead for Utah.
