(Portland, OR) Ronyo Obou, after a 40-point performance against Douglas College, was awarded GNAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Obou had 40 points and set the program record for most three-pointers in a game with nine. It’s the third-highest scoring effort in a Saint Martin’s Men’s Basketball game, the first 40-point game since 2003, and the sixth most points in a game by a player in all of Division II. Obou is a junior guard from Houston, Texas, and went to Northeast Oklahoma A&M. Saint Martin’s has a busy week, facing Pacific tomorrow and Pacific Lutheran on Thursday.
