(Arcata, CA) The Saint Martin’s Saints Women’s Basketball team had its final game of 2025, visiting Cal Poly Humboldt. The Saints trailed 19-7 after the first quarter, going 3-14 from the floor. Both teams put up 11 points in the second quarter as Saint Martin’s trailed by 12 points at the halftime break, 30-18. Saint Martin’s had their most productive quarter in the third, putting up 16 points but Cal Poly Humboldt had an 18-point quarter to extend their lead going into the fourth. The Saints were outscored in the fourth quarter as Cal Poly Humboldt would win 61-44.

Avery Oaster led the way for the Saints with a double-double. She had 11 points, 10 rebounds, four of them were offensive rebounds, and a pair of assists. She was the lone Saint in double figures. Jada Travis had nine points, 11 rebounds, and four steals. The Saints shot  27% from the floor and had 24 turnovers. Cal Poly Humboldt shot 47% from the floor and also had 24 turnovers.

Saint Martin’s drops to 6-5 and won’t return to action until New Year’s Day, when the Saints head north to take on Simon Fraser. Both Saint Martin’s and Simon Fraser are 2-0 in conference play.
