The Cascade Christian Cougars saw four Cougars score in double figures as their fast pace offense defeated the Fife Trojans 59-45. Cascade Christian improved to 5-2 on the season while Fife dropped to 5-3.
The game began with Cascade Christian jumping out to a 7-0 lead. Fife’s Noah Choi got the offense up to speed in the opening quarter. Cascade Christian led 17-11 after one. Cascade Christian in the second quarter continued to pour into the lead. And a huge reason for it was not one scorer in particular. The story remained the same in the third quarter with the Cougars putting the outcome out of doubt. Cascade Christian came away with a 59-45 win.
The Cougars scoring was a team display with Marcus McNicol scoring 11 points primarily off of a trio of three-pointers. Ezekiel Gopaul came off the bench to score eight points with six of them in the second quarter. Jeremiah Lowe’s post play tied him for the scoring lead with 13. Freshman Trent Whittington shared the game high with 13 points of his own.
Fife’s scoring came from primarily the combination of Jayden Bjorkman (12), Noah Choi (10), Micah Mittelstaedt (7), and Devaughn Smith (6).
Our Holiday Inn Express Game MVP of the Game was Trent Whittington with 13 points and playing a massive role in supplying offensive opportunities for his teammates.
