(Tacoma, WA) The 11th annual T-Town Throwdown, hosted at Silas High School, tips-off on Monday and runs through Wednesday. Every team will play three games to close out the 2025 portion of the season. The eight teams competing this year are Prairie, Newport (Bellevue), Nooksack Valley, Bonney Lake, Renton, Franklin Pierce, Foss, and Silas. ESN will stream every game of both the boys and girls tournaments. This hub will be updated as the tournament goes on with game recaps, highlights, and a link to the full game replay for every game.

First Round – Monday, December 29

Prairie Falcons 94, Newport (Bellevue) Knights 64

Both teams came into the first boys contest of the week with some momentum, and the offenses were scalding hot in the first quarter. Prairie led 31-16, with both sides shooting effectively from three-point distance. Prairie put up 21 in the second quarter to extend the lead up to 52-30 at the halftime break as Newport buried eight three’s while Prairie nailed six triples. The Falcons had 27 points in the third quarter, pushing their lead up to 79-44. Newport had a 20-point fourth, but Prairie would get the win with a 94-64 victory.

Our Sumner Holiday Inn Express Game MVP went to Prairie’s Malachi Patton. Despite not scoring in the first quarter, Patton helped set up his teammates and finished with 20 points, while also getting it done defensively.

Prairie’s Carson Morningstar had 21 points, leading the Falcons, Patton had 20 points, Jamir Jones had 11 points, Tavin Timperly had nine points, Maurice Brown had eight points, Daniel Carbajal-Vargas finished with six points, Griffin Smith, Brady Davidson, and Ben Nkansah each had four points, Jarell Jones had three points, Parker Lovejoy and Andre Mbomba both had two points.

Newport’s Danny Kang had 22 points, Zach Kwan had 21 points, as the pair had five threes each. Elliot Feng had eight points, David Mbaga had six points, William Ma had five points, and Nathan Wong had two.

Bonney Lake Panthers 75, Nooksack Valley Pioneers 30

Like the Nooksack Valley girls team, the Pioneers boys team took on a 4A SPSL opponent in Bonney Lake, who’s undefeated coming into the afternoon matchup. Bonney Lake jumped out to a 21-5 lead using a combination of smothering defense and athleticism to gain a big margin. Bonney Lake had another 21-point quarter to take a 42-17 halftime lead. The Panthers extended their lead to 59-30 with the help of Keenan Perry, who had 11 points in the quarter. Bonney Lake took the game, winning 75-30 and moving on to face Prairie in the semifinals.

Our Sumner Holiday Inn Express Game MVP went to Bonney Lake’s Keenan Perry. Perry had 14 of his 19 points in the second half, including five three-pointers in the game, and helped run the show on both ends of the floor for the Panthers.

Bonney Lake also had contributions from Eli Davis with 15 points, Cole Seminara with 14 points, Jace Andino with 12 points, Robert Mosley IV with 10 points, and Jayden Barrett had five points.

Nooksack Valley was led by Cole Coppinger with 10 points, Owen Wichers with nine points, Crew Bauman and Jayden Anderson each had three points, Brian Leyerly and Treven Scheenstra had two points, and Kade Mitchell had one point.
