TACOMA, WASH
The South Puget Sound League has announced the dates and times for the 2026 Boys Basketball Tournament, setting the stage for a postseason that features championship pedigree, historic opportunity, and high-stakes positioning.
Top-seeded Emerald Ridge enters the tournament undefeated in SPSL play and will look to finish the job after falling in last season’s league championship game. Standing in their way in the semifinals is Olympia, the #2 seed, as the Bears look to return to the title game.
In the other semifinal, defending SPSL champion Puyallup travels to face Bonney Lake. After winning the league title last season, Puyallup went on to finish as a state finalist, while Bonney Lake continues to chase history. The Panthers have never made a state tournament appearance, but lost just two league games this season to earn the top seed.
All four semifinalists, along with Graham Kapowsin and Sumner in the SPSL 3 vs. 3 game, have already secured berths to the district tournament. Meanwhile, district spots will be decided in the 4 vs. 5 matchups, which are win-or-go-home contests.
