TACOMA, WASH
The South Puget Sound League has announced the dates and times for the 2026 Girls Basketball Tournament, setting the stage for a week of postseason action that will culminate with the league championship on Saturday.
Defending SPSL champion Sumner will look to claim its sixth consecutive league title, opening tournament play with a semifinal matchup against crosstown rival Bonney Lake. In the other semifinal, Olympia aims to return to the league title game for a second straight season as it takes on Rogers.
While the four semifinalists have already secured berths to the district tournament, Puyallup and Bethel have also clinched district spots and will face each other in the SPSL 3 vs. 3 game to determine final league placement.
District berths will be on the line elsewhere, as Emerald Ridge hosts Graham Kapowsin in a win-or-go-home matchup. Another district spot will be decided when Spanaway Lake hosts the winner of a playoff between Curtis and South Kitsap Wednesday night at Puyallup High School.
