PUYALLUP, WASH

Emerald Ridge 73 Graham Kapowsin 36

The Emerald Ridge Jaguars shined in all phases of the game, rolling past the Graham-Kapowsin Eagles 73–36 in a playoff victory.

With the win, Emerald Ridge advances to the District 3/4 Tournament, which begins Friday, February 13. The tournament bracket will be announced at a later date.

Graham-Kapowsin’s Sydney Doepke helped keep the Eagles within striking distance early, matching the Jaguars’ pace in the opening quarter. Emerald Ridge seized control in the second quarter behind Naleila Cammack, who poured in 13 points in the period alone. The Jaguars carried a 30–20 lead into halftime.

Any hopes of a comeback were quickly erased to start the second half. Saniya Fair sparked a 6–0 run in the opening 40 seconds, setting the tone for a dominant third quarter. From there, Emerald Ridge never looked back.

Haley Streleski connected on four three-pointers for Graham-Kapowsin, but the Eagles were unable to slow the Jaguars’ balanced attack. Emerald Ridge shifts its focus to the District playoffs next week, while Graham-Kapowsin’s season comes to a close.
