The USGA has announced Local and Final Qualifying sites for the 126th U.S. Open. On Thursday, April 30, The Home Course in DuPont will host a Local Qualifier, the only one in Washington. Creekside Golf Club in Salem, Oregon, will host a Local Qualifier on Monday, May 11, and Warm Springs Golf Course in Boise, Idaho, will host a Local Qualifier on Wednesday, May 13. On golf’s longest day, Monday, June 8, Emerald Valley Golf Club in Cresswell, Oregon, will host a Final Qualifier, one of 10 sites that day. Registration opens on Wednesday, February 18, and goes until Wednesday, April 8. To be eligible, players must not have a handicap index above 0.4. The 126th U.S. Open takes place from June 18-21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York. Shinnecock Hills is the only course to have hosted a U.S. Open in three different centuries.
