For the first time in her career, Saint Martin’s Avery Oaster was named the GNAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. The senior forward was terrific in the Saints win over Montana State Billings, recording her third double-double of the season with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Oaster followed that performance up with a near double-double on Saturday. She had 15 points on an efficient 6-8 shooting night and nine rebounds to help lead Saint Martin’s to a victory at Seattle Pacific. Oaster is one of the top rebounders in the GNAC, averaging 7.3 boards per game, and is seventh in blocked shots.

Saint Martin’s has won four games in a row as the Saints sit in second place in the GNAC. The Saints are 14-8 overall and 10-3 in conference play, and host Western Oregon on Saturday.
