The game was tight throughout. Lummi Nation led 14–11 after the first quarter, Tulalip Heritage answered with a 20-point second quarter to take a 31–26 halftime lead, and the Blackhawks responded after the break by outscoring the Hawks 35–25 in the second half. The senior center, who is headed to Central Washington next season, anchored Lummi Nation’s interior defense in the title game.

Tulalip Heritage was led by Jaylan Gray with 21 points and Tayari Archibald with 15, while Davien Parks added 12 points and 8 rebounds. The Hawks shot slightly better from the field, but Lummi Nation made the difference at the line, going 17 of 23 on free throws compared with 9 of 20 for Tulalip Heritage.

3rd/5th Place Game
(4) Desales 67, (2) Almira-Coulee-Hartline 55
The DeSales Irish closed out their state tournament run with a strong performance Saturday morning at Spokane Arena, defeating Almira-Coulee-Hartline 67–55 to secure third place in the WIAA 1B boys state tournament for the fourth year in a row.

it was a rematch from last year’s state semifinal where ACH came out on top.

DeSales outscored the Warriors 19–7 in the third quarter, turning a deficit into a double-digit lead they would not relinquish.

The Irish were led offensively by Spencer Green, who poured in 22 points while knocking down 4 three-pointers. Green’s scoring punch helped fuel the second-half surge that put DeSales firmly in control.

DeSales received strong support from several teammates as well. Maddux Filan added 15 points, connecting on five three-pointers, while Cohen Wood scored 10 points and contributed across the stat sheet with rebounds and defensive presence. Championship Game

Cle Elum-Roslyn added another chapter to its program’s rich basketball history Saturday, defeating Reardan 49–43 to win the WIAA 2B girls state championship at Spokane Arena.

The fifth-seeded Warriors relied on balanced scoring and timely defense to secure the title, their first at the 2B level, first since 1993, and the program’s sixth overall state championship.

Senior Gracie Glondo led the Warriors with 22 points and eight rebounds, while junior Nellie Nicholls added 21 points and 14 rebound, continuing a strong stretch at the Arena in which she totaled 81 points across the final three tournament games.

The game remained tight for most of the first half as Reardan slowed the pace and forced Cle Elum-Roslyn into a half-court battle. The Screaming Eagles stayed within reach behind a gritty effort from Chasyn Waters, who finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds and five steals, frequently diving for loose balls and battling in the paint.

Reardan’s defense kept the Warriors from pulling away early, but Cle Elum-Roslyn’s depth and free-throw shooting proved crucial. Nicholls converted nine free throws, and the Warriors consistently found scoring from multiple players when the defense focused on stopping their primary options.

Reardan also received eight points and 11 rebounds from Tenice Waters, but the Screaming Eagles struggled to find consistent offense late as the Warriors tightened their defense in the final minutes.

For Cle Elum-Roslyn, the championship represented both a return to prominence and a tribute to the program’s long tradition.
