Wednesday Re-Caps
West Seattle 3, Holy Names 1

The Wildcats stormed out to a 2-0 set lead and looked poised to put the match away in a straight sweep. However, with the third set even at 13, an injury occurred that took a significant amount of time. Once play resumed the Cougars were on fire and were able to get the set win and force a 4th.

West Seattle did not allow for a 5th though, as they played solid to put the match away and get the playoff win. Dylan Turner was our player of the match.

Eastside Catholic 3, Garfield 0

This match was all Crusaders as they swept the Bulldogs 3-0. Garfield battled hard in the first set and pushed the Crusaders to dig down to come up with the opening win 25-20. That set proved to be a warm-up for the Crusaders who were determined to make sure the Bulldogs would not get that close again to handing EC their first set loss of the season.

Eastside Catholic went on to dominate with a 25-12 second set win and they finished it off with an explosive 25-9 finale. The Crusaders will battle Lakeside for the Metro Championship and heads into that match winning 24 straight sets and no losses. Lakeside is also undefeated and has lost only 2 sets on the season.

Bella Meyers was dominant at the net racking up a game high and kills along with getting our player of the match. The Crusaders got solid efforts from Clare Donovan, Riley Westby and Kaitlyn Westby. For Garfield the Libero Phoebe Frank played well and was our Bulldog player of the game.
