8/24/2022

All the dates are secured but some locations are still being worked on and many are only verbally agreed to so there is a chance for a late change but unlikely. We will go through each season with each sport their date and location.

There was one change in B Girls/Boys Soccer, they will now play at Renton Memorial Stadium instead of Sumner. Here is the schedule:

There is one possible change to the football format and that is if two Eastern Washington teams face off for a Championship then they will be given the option to agree on a neutral site in Eastern Washington to be closer to their fan bases. If that occurs the location and kick-off is TBD.

Last week we announced that the Football State Championships will remain at Sparks (Puyallup), Mt Tahoma and Harry Lang Stadium (Clover Park) for this season as negotiations with the University of Washington still have work to do. There are other questions the WIAA also wants to get some clarity from the Coaches Association, the WIAA board and frankly from fans and those who would attend the games. Our full story on the football stadiums is on this link.

*State Soccer and Football including Semi-Final football will be played at various locations through-out November on various dates.

Spring Sports

There is still several locations to lock down starting with all of the Golf locations and the 3A Tennis tournament which are expected to be finalized by late September.  The other location still up in the air is 3A and 4A baseball which has been played for several years at GESA Stadium in Pasco. This year the minor league club that Gesa is their home stadium won’t have their schedule finalized until February. WIAA officials believe the 3A/4A Baseball Championship will still be at GESA they just cannot finalize it until late February.
