Bellarmine 57, Tahoma 53 (Coverage Below)
Camas 49, Sumner 41 (Coverage Below)

Bellarmine   14   26   39   57
Tahoma          7   20   35   53

(Federal Way, WA) A slow start Tahoma would end up costing them in the end. The Bears trailed 14-7 after 1 and 26-20 at the break. Tahoma got rolling in the 3rd scoring the 1st 5 points to cut the lead to 1. Bellarmine would get their 1st 2nd half bucket to go up by 3 but the Bears answered with a 3 to tie the game at 28-28. The Lions rebounded and held a 4 points advantage at the end of 3.

In the 4th quarter Bellarmine put a big run together early in the 4th quarter and extended to an 8 point lead. As the final 8 minutes wore down the Bears had to resort to fouling but Bellarmine did what good teams do and made their freebies down the stretch to hold off the Bears for the win. Bellarmine now takes on Camas for the District Championship on Saturday at 7:30pm at Tacoma CC. Sumner      9   18   28   41

(Federal Way, WA) The Camas Papermakers came out hot and built an 8 point lead over the Sumner Spartans after 1 quarter of play. Camas extended that lead at the break with a 15-9 run in the 2nd for a 14 point halftime lead. The Spartans turned up the defense in the 3rd holding the Papermakers to just 4 3rd quarter points but couild only score 10 and got as close as 6 points at one point. In the final 8 minutes Camas simply refused to allow Sumner to make a significant run and held them at a safe arms length distance to record the 8 point win. Camas advances to the District Championship on Saturday against Bellarmine at 7:30pm at TCC. Sumner already earned their trip to state when they got to the semi-finals and may play Tahoma at 1pm on Saturday in an optional game since the outcome will have no impact on them heading to state.
