On Tuesday, June 11th, the Seattle Storm host the Los Angeles Sparks at Climate Pledge Arena as part of the Commissioner’s Cup. The Storm will also celebrate the girl’s high school state basketball champions as their fan promotion. The Storm are on a six-game win streak and are 7-3 overall. They are tied for third in the league with the Minnesota Lynx. The Storm took down the Las Vegas Aces, 78-65 tonight, led by Jewell Loyd who scored 25 points. In Commissioner’s Cup play, the Storm are 2-0 and are the only undefeated team in the Western Conference. The Sparks are off to a 3-7 start and 1-2 in the Commissioner’s Cup. Seattle won the inaugural Commissioner’s Cup in 2021 when the Storm defeated the Connecticut Sun, 79-57. Last year, the New York Liberty won the Commissioner’s Cup by taking down the Las Vegas Aces. This year is also the 25th anniversary season of the Seattle Storm.
