As we come to the end of May, we are now into the thick of things for State Baseball and we will crown new state champions in just over a week.
For the 2B state baseball tournament, Tri-Cities Prep will look to complete the three-peat after taking home the state title in 2023 and 2024. For the first time in that stretch however, this year they are the #1 seed after being #4 in 2023 and #2 in 2024.
Below are the regional matchups, link to State Bracket and as the tournament rolls on we will post the most recent games and coverage at the top of the story. We will cover our games and try to find additional coverage from other media groups and link their stories and coverage to those that we find. For a complete list of the live broadcasts by Eli Sports on the NFHS Network go to our Broadcast Schedule page and links to the games and broadcasts ESN covers will be included.
For the regional round, four teams will play in a one day, mini-tournament. Team 1 will play team 4 and team 2 plays team 3. The losers of those games are out and see their season come to an end. The two winners will play in a final game later in the day where the loser is eliminated and the winner moves on to the semi-finals the following weekend. There will be four regional pods for each classification.
