(San Bernardino, CA) Mill Creek Little League will head to Greenville, North Carolina, for the 2025 Little League Softball World Series after a perfect run through the Northwest Regional Tournament.
The squad won 2-0 over Oregon in their first game of the tournament, then took down Alaska 19-0 to continue advancing in the bracket. Mill Creek defeated Idaho 12-2 to set up a rematch against Oregon in the Championship Game. The game was on ESPN, and they made the most of it. Mill Creek trailed 5-1 in the 6th inning, 6-5 in the 7th, 7-6 in the 8th, and 9-7 in the 9th, but they overcame every deficit in the exhilarating title game to win 10-9 on a walkoff single in the 9th inning. Liliana Delgado drove in Molly Joe Sewell for the Regional Championship clinching run.
On the Mill Creek team are Anya Miller, Molly Joe Sewell, Daphnee Calsyn, Liliana Delgado, Penelope Gahan, Camryn Brown, Reese Caskey, Anna Yoo, Phoebe Banks, Makenna Love, Kaitlyn Stetich, and Mila Bailey.
The Little League Softball World Series will be held from August 3 to August 10, and the games will be broadcast on ESPN. Mill Creek will play against Florida out of the Southeast Region on August 3.
