(Seattle, WA) The Seattle Storm are hosting a WIAA Champions Day at thier game against the Phoenix Murcury on Sunday, August 17. The team is celebrating the 2025 Girls State Basketball Champions. It also will be the Forever Sue Game, where there will be an unveiling of a statue of Sue Bird on the plaze outside of Climate Pledge Arena. $5 from every ticket purchased through the link below gets donated to support WIAA programs. There are still tickets available for the exciting day. Tipoff is at 3 PM and the game is an important one for the Storm. They sit at eighth in the standings, half a game behind the Golden State Valkyries and half a game ahead of the Los Angeles Sparks. The top eight teams make the WNBA playoffs, and last year the Storm was the five seed but were swept by the Las Vegas Aces.
