(Lacey, WA) The Saint Martin’s Saints Women’s Basketball team took on NAIA opponent, The Evergreen State, in a game to get ready for a pair of GNAC games next week. The Saints were phenomenal on offense, leading 30-8 after the first quarter. The Saints’ offense hardly slowed down in the second quarter, outscoring Evergreen State 26-8 in the quarter to build up a 56-16 halftime lead. The Saints cruised to a 93-42 victory and shot 48.6% from the floor and made 11-11 free throws.

Kiana Rios led everyone with 25 points, five rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Rios went 9-11 from the field and 6-7 from three. Jada Travis had 20 points with seven rebounds, four steals, and six assists. Avery Oaster had 14 points and eight rebounds while Laiken Hill reached double figures with 10 points. 10 different Saints scored, and they pulled down 21 offensive rebounds, seven of them came from Harper Wagner.

The Saints are 4-3 on the season and will return to action on December 4, hosting Alaska Anchorage, in a rematch of last year’s GNAC Championship Game.
