Ben and Luke Heisel each scored 16 points and the Bellarmine Lions jumped out to an early lead to come away with a 70-55 win over the Silas Rams. The win puts Bellarmine in a two game lead for first place in the PSL Narrows Division with their 7-0 record. Silas with the loss dropped to 4-4.
Bellarmine jumped out to an 18-5 lead after the opening quarter with 7 first quarter points from Ronnie Wiggins.
It proved to be a sign of things to come for Bellarmine. Ben Heisel took over the second quarter for Bellarmine, scoring 9 in the second quarter to build Bellarmine’s lead to 37-24 at halftime.
Makhail Pleasant-Tolliver, Myree Woods, and Cannon Howard did all they could to trim the lead for Silas, but could not trim the deficit below single digits.
Bellarmine went on to pull away with a 70-55 win. Here is a look at the scorers on the evening.
