4A Girls
Friday, Feb 27
(6) Lake Washington 59, (3) Chiawana 48
The Kangaroos of Lake Washington handed the Riverhawks their first loss of the season. Both teams are moving onto the Tacoma Dome but Chiawana will now have to play on Wednesday at 9am against (11) Kennedy Catholic in a winner to the quarterfinals, loser out showdown.
Lake Washington improved to 19-4 and traveled to Richland to pull off the upset win. The Kangaroos are headed straight to thew quarterfinals next Thursday. Their quarterfinal game is set for 12:15 next Thursday.
Saturday, Feb 28
(1) Davis 73, (8) Sumner 48
The Davis Pirates were fooled last year by the 8 seeded Sumner Spartans but not this year. The top ranked Pirates at 20-2 served notice they are the ones to beat. Davis rolls into the quarterfinals in Tacoma next Thursday in the 10:30am game.
Sumner will play on Wednesday in the round of 12 loser out game at 2pm against 9 seeded Auburn. The Spartans at 24-3 will have to take the long way to try and get back to the Title game.
(2) Union 51, (7) Bothell 43
Even as the 2 seed the Union Titans feel like they are flying a bit under the radar. Doubt they will anymore with a solid win over a very good Bothell team. The Titans advanced to the quarterfinals in the Tacoma Dome next Thursday. The Titans are now 24-2 and will tip off their quarterfinal game at 2pm.
Bothell will have to play on opening day next Wednesday in the round of 12 in a loser out game against 10th seeded Lake Stevens at 10:30am.
(5) Gonzaga Prep 64 (4) Woodinville 60
A minor upset with the Bullpups edging over the always tough Woodinville Falcons in a winner to the quarterfinals. Gonzaga Prep now 22-1 will open up play on Thursday when they tip-off at 9am. This is a winner to the semi’s and loser drops into the consolation bracket game.
The Falcons will open on Wednesday in a loser out, round of 12 game and will face 13 seed Tahoma at 12:15pm. Woodinville drops to 24-4 on the season.
(9) Auburn 61, (16) Eisenhower 33
The Auburn Trojans had little trouble dispatching the Cadets of Eisenhower. The Trojans picked up their 20th win of the season and advances to opening day on Wednesday in Tacoma. Auburn takes on 8 seed Sumner in a loser out game.
Eisenhower had a very good year and got into the state tournament for only the 5th time in school history finishing the season at 14-9.
(10) Lake Stevens 61, (15) Bonney Lake 33
The Lake Stevens Vikings had little trouble with Bonney Lake and made it to the Tacoma Dome on opening day. The 20-3 Vilings will play in their 2nd straight loser out game and will be challenged when they face the 7 seed Bothell at 10:30am on Wednesday.
Bonney Lake never could get it going in this one and had their season come to an end with a final 15-11 record.
(11) Kennedy Catholic 61, (14) Redmond 50
The Lancers gradually built that lead throughout the game to win with a clear advantage. The Lancers are now 18-7 and advance to Wednesday, opening day at the Tacoma Dome where they get the 9am game to kick the day off against 3 seed Chiawana.
The Redmond Mustangs made a great run with upsets to get to Regionals and ended with a 12-15 overall mark.
(13) Tahoma 55, (12) Mead 41
The Tahoma Bears took the long drive to Spokane to try and knock off the 12 seeded Panthers of Mead. Tahoma rolled to a double digit victory. Tahoma is now 18-6 and advance to opening day at the Tacoma Dome with a 12:15pm game. The Bears will face (4) Woodinville in a loser out game.
The 18-5 Mead Panthers just didn’t have it today and had their season come to an end.
4A Boys
Friday, Feb 27
(10) Redmond 60, (15) Olympia 51
The Mustangs got the win and will move onto the Tacoma Dome and will play on Wednesday in the winner to quarterfinals, loser out game at 5:30 in the evening. Redmond improves to 17-8 for the year and will take on (7) Emerald Ridge.
Olympia had their season come to an end and fnished the year 16-8.
(11) Chiawana 76, (14) Sumner 64
Sumner came from out firing early in this game and had the lead. But the Riverhawks never panicked and stayed in the game to eventually pull away for a clear win. The Riverhawks improved to 21-4 and will travel to the Tacoma Dome next Wednesday to play in another loser out game in the round of 12 at 3:45pm. Chiawana will face (6) Puyallup.
Sumner had their season come to an end with a 17-9 record.
(13) Woodinville 62, (12) Camas 53
The Woodinville Falcons took the trip south on I-5 to Camas and pulled a minor upset over the home team Papermakers to advance to the Tacoma Dome next Wednesday for a round of 12 match-up. The Falcons will play at 7:15pm against (4) Glacier Peak.
Camas certainly disappointed they fell short finished the season at 17-6.
Saturday, Feb 28
(1) Mt Si 80, (8) West Valley (Yak) 71
The Mt Si Wildcats got the top seed and beat the team who upset them last year in Tacoma, the West Valley Rams. The Cats got their revenge and are moving onto the quarterfinals on Thursday in the Tacoma Dome. Mt Si is now 20-1 and will open their T-Dome play at 5:30pm.
West Valley dropped to 19-2 and will open up on Wednesday in the round of 12 with the nightcap game tipping off at 9pm against 9 seed Auburn.
(2) Richland 79, (7) Emerald Ridge 56
The 2nd ranked Bombers held sway on their home floor in the regional round and remained perfect at 24-0 with a solid win over the Jaguars. Richland will make the trip over to the Tacoma Dome for their opening game in the quarterfinals on Thursday. The Bombers will play the late night 9pm game.
Emerald Ridge will re-group after dropping to 23-4 and opemn up state play in the Tacoma Dome on Wednesday taking on 10 seed Redmond at 5:30pm in a loser out contest.
(3) Lake Washington 72, (6) Puyallup 56
The Puyallup Vikings came in as one of the hottest teams in 4A but the Kangs of Lake Washington had the recipe to cool them off with a convincing win. Lake Washington now 22-4 will bounce to the quarterfinals and open up on Thursday with the 7:15pm game.
Puyallup dropped to 21-6 and will look to bounce back on Wednesday in the round of 12 game against 11 seed Chiawana. Game time for the loser out match-up is 3:45pm.
(5) Gonzaga Prep 45, (4) Glacier Peak 41
The Bullpups come in as the 5 seed but wanted to let everyone know they are the defending Champs and they’re not ready to let it go. In this defensive struggle G-Prep found enough to get the win. The 19-6 Bullpups are headed to Thursday’s quarterfinals with a 3:45pm tip time.
The 4 seed Glacier Peak Grizzlies now 21-2, will have to play the 13 seed Woodinville Wednesday night to extend their stay in Tacoma.
(9) Auburn 81, (16) Sunnyside 50
The Trojans were not messing around and made sure the 16 seed was never in reach of pulling a stunning upset. Auburn improved to 23-3 on the year and will have to play in the opening round in another loser out contest. The Trojans play on Wednesday in Tacoma at 9pm against 8 seeded West Valley of Yakima.
Sunnyside had a nice season but could not slosw down the Trojans to have their season come to an end. The Grizzlies finished with a 15-8 record.
3A Girls
Friday, Feb 27
(1) Bellevue 63, (8) Edmonds-Woodway 46
The #1 ranked Wolverines flexed their muscles on Friday night cruising to the win and cruising into the State quarterfinals next Thursday. Bellevue will face the winner of a still to be determined match-up. The top ranked Wolverines are now 24-3 for the year.
Edmonds-Woodway will have to play in a loser out game next Wednesday at the T-Dome with a 9p tip-off. They will face (9) Stanwood in the round of 12.
Saturday, Feb 28
(2) Snohomish 52, (7) Evergreen (Van) 39
One of the teams that may not be catching a lot of attention are the Snohomish Panthers. This team began the year 0-4 and ended up as the 2 seed. The Panthers took care of another under the radar team in the Evergreen Plainsmen who are having one of their best seasons in school history. But Snohomish has had something special going since that slow start and rolled into the quarterfinals.
The Panthers are now 18-6 ands will open up their Tacoma Dome schedule on Thursday with the 9pm game.
Evergreen dropped to 20-4 and will play on Wednesday, opening day at 5:30pm against #15 Meadowdale in a winner to the quarters, loser out game.
(6) Eastside Catholic 54, (3) Ridgeline 36
In a big match-up the Eastside Catholic Crusaders traveled across the state to take on Ridgeline the 3 seed. The Crusaders were all business and ready to make a run in Tacoma. E-C improved to 17-7 and will play Thursday night in the quarters at 7:15pm.
Ridgeline will get to make the trip to Tacoma but will be in a must win on Wednesday when they tip off at 3:45. The 19-4 Falcons will face (11) Lakeside (Sea) in a loser out game.
(4) Roosevelt 68, (5) North Thurston 30
The Roughriders were pretty rough on the Rams pulling away for an easy win and will be advancing to the quarterfinals on Thursday in the Tacoma Dome. Roosevelt will have to wait and see which two teams they could face until after Saturday’s games. The Roughriders tip-off on Thursday is 3:45pm.
North Thurston will look to re-group and will play on opening day at 7:15pm. The Rams will face (12) White River in a winner to the quarters, loser out contest.
(9) Stanwood 60, (17) Bishop Blanchet 56
The Stanwood Spartans did not allow the upset minded 17 seeded Bears pull off the upset and will get to the Tacoma Dome on Wednesday. The 19-5 Spartans will play in the 9pm nightcap against 8 seeded Edmonds-Woodway in a loser out contest.
Bishop Blanchet did well to travel to Hermniston on Tuesday and got a big win to get to Saturday but just fell short of the T-Dome and finished the season 14-14.
(15) Meadowdale 64, (10) Enumclaw 34
The Meadowdale Mavericks upset Enumclaw in a blow out. The 15 seeded Mavs were not pleased with getting overlooked and made the Hornets pay and now advance to day 1 in the Tacoma Dome. Meadowdale at 16-11 will face either (7) Evergreen (Van) in a winner to quarters, loser out game at 5:30pm.
Enumclaw just didn’t have today and were overwhelmed finishing the year with a 15-7 record.
(11) Lakeside (Sea) 57, (19) Lincoln 50
The 19 seed Abes made it interesting but fell short in their bid to get to the Dome as Lakeside did enough to advance. The Lions advance to opening day on Wednesday with a 3:45pm tip-off against 3 seed Ridgeline. Lakeside is now 17-10 hesding into the loser out conest.
Lincoln made this very interesting but came up short of getting back to the dome and finished an even 11-11 on the year.
(12) White River 44, (13) Gig Harbor 43
This was another nail biter and tough to see either team lose but the Hornets of White River pulled it out in the end with the 1 point victory. The Hornets now 17-6 will open state play in the Dome on Wednesday in the round of 12 loser out game at 7:15pm against North Thurston.
The Gig Harbor Tides had their season come to an end and finished the season with a 19-5 record.
3A Boys
Friday, Feb 27
(1) Rainier Beach 90, (8) Bellevue 69
Rainier Beach’s biggest weakness is a slow start, especially defensively and Bellevue had the lead after the 1st quarter. But as usual the Vikings got rolling and made it clear why they are the heavy favorite putting up a huge 90 points on the board. Rainier Beach advances direct to the quarterfinals next Thursday in the Tacoma Dome and will play at 10:30am.
Bellevue drops to 19-8 and will open state play in the round of 12 on Wednesday in the T-Dome with a 2pm game against the 9 seed Auburn Mountainview.
(5) Bellarmine Prep 60, (4) Eastside Catholic 59
Bellarmine Prep may feel some deja vu. Last year as the 8 seed they stunned top seeded Rainier Beach in the regional and then went on to take home the 6th place trophy.
The now 22-3 Lions were seeded 5th this year and faced Eastside Catholic and again pulled off the upset. The Lions go to the quarterfinal round next Thursday in the Tacoma Dome.
Eastside Catholic now 17-8, fell just short and will have to play in Wednesday’s round of 12, loser out contest. The Crusaders will face (12) Liberty (Renton).
(9) Auburn Mountainview 72, (17) Mountain View 69
It was quite a battle of the Mountain View’s with the Lions summiting in the end sending the Thunder back to Vancouver. Auburn-Mountainview battled hard to pull out a huge win and will have to do it again next Wednesday in the Tacoma Dome with a 2pm game. The A-M Lions are now 20-5 and will battle 8 seed Bellevue in a winner to quarters, loser out contest.
The 17 seed Mountain View Thunder laid it all on the line with a huge effort just missing pulling off the stunning upset. The Thunder finished the year 16-8.
(10) Shorewood 51, (18) Monroe 48
Another big seed just missed pulling off an upset when the 18 seeded Monroe Bearcats almost sent the Shorewood Stormrays home. Shorewood held on and got the win to advance to the T-Dome in the round of 12 on Wednesday with a 10:30am game against (2) O’Dea.
The Bearcats got that big win on Tuesday to get to regionals and then just fell short and finished the season at 19-7.
Saturday, Feb 28
(7) Lincoln 71, (2) O’Dea 58
The Lincoln Abes put on a show Saturday night and arfe rolling into the state quarterfinals on a hot streak. The 16-3 Abes pulled away in the end to send the 2 seed Irish to opening day and a loser out game. Lincoln’s quarterfinal game is set for 2pm on Thursday.
18-4 O’Dea will need to go the long way and will open up on Wednesday in the 10:30am game against 10 seed Shorewood.
(3) Mt Spokane 59, (6) Prairie 53
The 3rd seed Wildcats held off a determined Prairie Falcons squad to advance to the quarterfinal round on Thursday in the Tacoma Dome. Mt Spokane now 18-6, will open up with a 12:15pm game and will face the winner of the (4) Eastside Catholic vs (12) Liberty (Renton) round of 12 game on Wednesday.
Prairie with the strong effort and after a long bus ride will have to bounce back on opening day in the 1st game of the tournament at 9am against (11) Edmonds-Woodway.
(11) Edmonds-Woodway 73, (14) Enumclaw 59
The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors pulled away from the Hornets to extend their season to at least opening day at the Tacoma Dome. The 22-3 Warriors will get the opener on Wednesday at 9am and face (6) Prairie in a winner to the quarters, loser out game.
Enumclaw ended in disappointment of not getting to the Dome but had a very solid season finishing the year 16-5.
(12) Liberty (Renton) 63, (13) Central Valley 51
Liberty got the win with a consistent performance over the Central Valley Grizzlies and is headed to Tacoma. The 21-6 Patriots will open up on Wednesday in the 12:15pm game against 4 seed Eastside Catholic. The winner moves on to the quarters, the loser is out.
Central Valley fell short of making another cross state trip and finished the season at 18-8.
2A Girls
Friday, Feb 27
(1) Lynden 67, (8) Selah 45
No surprise here as the favored Lions of Lynden rolled to a big win over the Selah Vikings. Lynden heads to Yakima next Thursday and will get the 10:30am game in the quarters. The Lions remain unbeaten now 24-0.
Selah battled hard but found out why the Lions are #1. The Vikings fall to 19-8 and will play next Wednesday in the SunDome at 2pm against (9) Fife.
(3) Prosser 71, (6) WF West 54
The Mustangs just kept pulling way from the Bearcats and won handily to advance to next Thursday’s quarterfinals in Yakima. Prosser improves to 22-3 heading into State. and will open on Thursday in the 12:15pm game.
WF West has a chance to advance and will be playing on Wednesday in Yakima in the loser out round of 12. The Bearcats now 20-5 will face (11) Nathan Hale.
Saturday, Feb 28
(7) Ellensburg 58, (2) Deer Park 49
Ellensburg traveled to Spokane and knocked off the up and coming Deer Park Stags to leapfrog opening day right to the quarterfinals with a solid win. Ellensburg now 20-5 will open their tournament play with the 2pm game on Thursday in Yakima.
The Stags drop to 21-3 and will have to play on opening day. They get (10) Mark Morris at 10:30am in a winner to quarters, loser out game.
(4) Clarkston 58, (5) Archbishop Murphy 51
The Clarkston Bantams held off the Archbishop Murphy Wildcats to earn their way into the quarterfinals on Thursday in Yakima. The Bantams now 20-3, are one of the teams looking to get to the semifinals when they open their state play on Thursday at 9am.
Archbishop Murphy dropped to 18-5 but not done yet and will open up on Wednesday in the round of 12 against (12) Port Angeles in a loser out showdown.
(9) Fife 52, (16) Ridgefield 40
The Fife Trojans were up to the task especially with a stiff defense to hold the Spudders at bay. Fife improves to 21-5 and heads to opening day in Yakima with a 2pm tip-off against the 8 seeded Selah Vikings.
Ridgefield battled hard through the district to get into the regional round and although disappointed made a great late run to get this far as they finish with a 13-14 overall mark.
(10) Mark Morris 68, (15) Kingston 42
The Mark Morris Monarchs played a terrific game on Saturday to advance to the Yakima SunDome. They will have their hands full as 2 seeded Deer Park was upset by 7 seed Ellensburg and they will have to take on the Stags on opening day. MM now 18-6, tips off at 10:30am in a loser out round of 12 game on Wednesday.
Kingston took a big first step in just getting to the regional round. Let’s see if the Buccaneers can keep this momentum rolling next season as they finished the season 13-11.
(11) Nathan Hale 54, (14) Sequim 36
The Raiders of Nathan Hale were fired up to play in the regional and not ready for their season to end so they will head to Yakima with a ton of momentum with this 22 point win. The Raiders are now 13-9 and will play on Wednesday in the tournament opener against 6 seed WF West with the winner moving on to the quarterfinals and the loser out.
The Sequim Wolves season ran out of time and they will head home with the final record of 15-7.
(12) Port Angeles 52, (13) Renton 39
The Port Angeles Roughriders had a couple of runs by Renton to survive and they did so brilliantly to secure the win and a trip to Yakima. Port Angeles improved to 18-7 and will open up on Wednesday in the 12:15pm game against (5) Archbishop Murphy in the round of 12, loser out game.
The Redhawks had their season come to an end ande had some chances but couldn’t sustain their offense in this one. Renton finished the year 21-5.
2A Boys
Friday, Feb 27
(9) Lynden 74, (16) Franklin Pierce 30
The Lynden girls team is getting a lot of attention for good reason as the #1 seed. But the boys gave a quick reminder that even though they are a 9 seed they’re a pretty potent team and put on a show Friday night with a 44 point win. The Lions now 18-7, will have to face another loser out game next Wednesday in Yakima when they will face (8) Renton in the 9pm game.
The 16-9 Franklin Pierce Cardinals just could not keep pace with the red hot home team and had their season come to an end.
Saturday, Feb 28
(1) Bremerton 75, (8) Renton 57
The Renton Redhawks made their run at top seeded Bremerton but the Knights had too much fire power and served notice they’re ready for a strong run to the Title. Bremerton will head to quarterfinal Thursday and open play in Yakima at 5:30pm.
Renton drops into the round of 12 and head to Yakima for a game at 9pm on Wednesday in a loser out contest against 9 seed Lynden.
(2) RA Long 49, (7) Grandview 38
RA Long as the 2 seed battled with the Grandview Greyhounds early but will would gradually pull away from the Hounds and earn their spot in the quarterfinals. The Lumberjacks remain perfect at 25-0 and will put that mark on the line Thursday in the nightcap at 9pm.
Grandview will play on opening day in a winner to the quarters, loser out contest. The Greyhounds and their 18-7 record will face (15) Foster.
(6) Anacortes 52, (3) Selah 50
The Seahawks flipped the seeds pulling off a thrilling 2 point win with super tough defense late in the game. Anacortes is now 21-4 and heads to the quarterfinals next Thursday in the Yakima SunDome at 7:15pm.
A disappointing loss for the Vikings with chances to win late in the game but couldn’t get the shots to fall. Now, Selah will have to play on Wednesday in a loser out game. They face (11) Columbia River at 3:45pm.
(4) Pullman 73, (5) Tumwater 38
The Tumwater T-Birds picked a bad time for their worst game of the year but it didn’t end their season. The #4 Pullman Greyhounds showed they aren’t looking to simply trophy they want the big one with a dominating performance. Pullman will open state in Yakima on Thursday in the quarterfinals with the 3:45pm game.
Tumwater will have to re-group and forget about that game as quickly as possible. They will play Wednesday night at 7:15pm in a loser out, winner to quarters game against (13) West Valley (Spo).
(15) Foster 72, (10) Bainbridge 48
The Foster Bulldogs can shoot with anyone when they’re on and they were on Saturday and they rolled past the Bainbridge Spartans to spring the upset. The 18-7 Foster heads to Yakima on Wednesday in the round of 12 and opens up against (7) Grandview with a 5:30pm tip-off with the winner moving on and loser out.
Bainbridge just couldn’t keep pace with the hot shooting Bulldogs to have their season come to an end with a 17-7 overall record.
(11) Columbia River 77, (14) Clover Park 41
Columbia River played one of their best offensive games of the year and what would be expected a shoot-out with the Timberwolves ended up a one sided affair as Clover Park had their worst offensive game of the season at the wrong time. The Rapids improved to 18-7 and will open up in Yakima on Wednesday at 3:45 against (3) Selah in a loser out contest.
Clover Park made a solid run to regionals but the clock ran out on their season short of their goal to get to Yakima and finished with a 19-6 record.
(13) West Valley (Spo) 69, (12) Lakewood 63 (OT)
The West Valley Eagles from Spokane took the long journey to Mount Vernon to try and earn a trip that is half the distance next week to Yakima. The Eagles edged the Lakewood Cougars in a thrilling game that went to overtime. West Valley is now 16-7 for the season and will play next Wednesday in the round of 12 at 7:15pm. The Eagles will take on (5) Tumwater.
The Cougars of Lakewood are feeling the sting of that tight loss and finish the season short of their goal with a 17-8 record.
1A Girls
Friday, Feb 27
(1) King’s 61, (8) Lakeside (9-Mile) 38
The top ranked King’s squad was ready to roll and with a smothering defense and plenty of offense walked into the quarterfinals at the SunDome next Thursday. King’s improves to 21-4 and will open their state action in the quarters with the 5:30pm game.
Lakeside will drop into the round of 12 and take on (16) King’s Way Christian. The Eagles are now 16-7.
(5) Royal 57, (4) Annie Wright 45
In a slight upset, the 5th ranked Knights did not let the long drive interfere with their plans and knocked off the Gators. Royal will bypass the round of 12 and head straight to the quarterfinals next Thursday in Yakima. Royal is now 21-4 on the season and opens with the 3:45pm tip-off.
Annie Wright will have to do it the hard way and will face a loser out situation next Wednesday in Yakima. The 18-6 Gators will play at 7:15pm on Wednesday against (13) Montesano.
(10) Cascade Christian 47, (15) Hoquiam 37
The Cascade Christian Cougars are headed to Yakima after getting by Hoquiam. The Cougars advance to the round of 12 and will face another loser out contest next Wednesday. CC will play at 5:30pm against (7) Seton Catholic. The Cougars improved to 17-6.
The Grizzlies fell short of their goal and finished the season 16-8.
(11) Wapato 69, (14) The Bear Creek School 46
The Wapato Wolves controlled the game from start to finish and pulled away for a comfortable win. The Wolves will get their shot at advancing to the quarterfinals next Wednesday at 3:45pm against (6) Bellevue Christian. Wapato improved to 20-5.
The Bear Creek School had their season come to an end and couldn’t pull off the upset finishing 12-11 for the season.

(2) Zillah 49, (7) Seton Catholic 27
Zillah’s defense locked down the Cougars to scoring less than 7 points a quarter and the Leopards had plenty of offense for the comfortable win sending them to the quarters on Thursday in Yakima. Zillah now 23-2 will open in the nightcap on Thursday tipping off at 9pm.
Seton Catholic dropped to 20-3 and will open state play in the loser out, round of 12 on Wednesday at 5:30pm against (10) Cascade Christian.
(3) Lynden Christian 45, (6) Bellevue Christian 36
The Lynx are always tough, that’s just a given and they showed their worthiness of another high seed with another win and trip to the quarterfinals on Thursday in Yakima. L-C will open their play in the SunDome with the 7:15pm game.
Bellevue Christian drops to 16-7 but will get their chance on Wednesday in the round of 12 with a 3:45pm loser out game against (11) Wapato.
(16) King’s Way Christian 43, (9) Nooksack Valley 36
The Knights of King’s Way Christian stunned the Pioneers with a solid win and did it with defense. The 16 seeded Knights with their 16-6 record will get a chance to get to the quarterfinals and will need to pull off another upset when they take on 8 seed Lakeside in the 9pm game.
The Pioneers fell short and finished the season with a 14-10 mark.
(13) Montesano 40, (12) Cedar Park Christian 27
The Montesano Bulldogs battled their way through Districts to get to the Regional round and as the 13 seed were in a loser out contest with 12 seeded Cedar Park Christian. The Bulldogs defense was smothering and held the Eagles to an average of less then 7 points a quarter. Montesano’s offense was enough to head to Yakima for a round of 12, winner to quarters, loser out game on Wednesday at 7:15. The 16-8 Bulldogs will face 4 seed Annie Wright.
Cedar Park Christian had their season come to an end and finished with an 18-7 season.
1A Boys
Friday, Feb 27
(16) Nooksack Valley 54, (9) Fort Vancouver 41
A big upset here with the 16 seeded Pioneers sending the 9 seed Trappers home short of getting to Yakima. Nooksack Valley came in with a losing record of 10-14 but the Pioneers were ready to pull the stunner. They will play next Wednesday in Yakima at 2pm against (8) Seattle Christian.
Fort Vancouver’s promising season came crashing down short of their hopes to play in the SunDome and finished the year at 20-4.
(10) Cascade Christian 60, (15) King’s Way Christian 57 (OT)
The 10-seeded Cougars had a big early lead but the Knights refused to give in and pulled into a tie late forcing the only OT game of Friday night. Cascade Christian re-gained their momentum and pulled out the 3-point extra time win. The Cougs will be heading to Yakima next Wednesday to play in the opening round at 10:30 in the morning. The 16-8 Cougars will take on (7) Chelan .
King’s Way Christian no doubt disappointed they just missed their chance to extend their season finished with a 17-7 overall record.
(12) Wapato 63, (13) Montesano 38
The Wapato Wolves got rolling early and never looked back rolling to a big win and extending their season by at least 1 game. The Wolves improved to 15-11 and will open the State Tournament next Wednesday at 12:15pm with a loser out round of 12 game against (4) The Bear Creek School.
Montesano had their season come to an end and finished with a 16-8 record.
Saturday, Feb 28
(1) Zillah 64, (8) Seattle Christian 55
The top seed was challenged by the 8 Seattle Christian but the Zillah Leopards kept the Warriors at a safe advantage to move onto the quarterfinal round on Thursday. The undefeated Leopards at 24-0 will open play in the SunDome with a 10:30am game.
Seattle Christian is now 17-6 and will need to get a win on opening day in Yakima to keep their season alive. Seattle Christian will face (16) Nooksack Valley with a 2pm start.
(2) Lynden Christian 84, (7) Chelan 63
Lynden Christian handled their business not allowing the Goats to get into the game and cruised to the quarterfinals, The Lynx are now 23-1 on the year and opens their play in Yakima on Thursday with the 2pm game.
Chelan now 22-5 also is heading to Yakima but drops into the round of 12 and will play a loser out, winner to quarters game on Wednesday at 10:30am against (10) cascade Christian.
(6) King’s 48, (3) Royal 47
Upset alert on this one as the Knight’s slipped past the 3 seed Royal by 1 point and gives them admission to the quarterfinals on Thursday. King’s will open their Yakima tournament run on Thursday at 12:15pm. King’s has plenty of State tourney pedigree and even at 18-6 will be a force to deal with in the quarters.
Royal drops to 21-4 and now will have to do it the hard way beginning on Wednesday in the round of 12. The Knights will begin with 11 seed Overlake at 9am to kick-off the action in Yakima on Wednesday.
(5) Annie Wright 47, (4) The Bear Creek School 41
Another 5 seed got the better of the 4 with the Gators of Annie Wright edging away from the Grizzlies. Annie Wright is now 16-9 and getting hot at the right time will head to Thursday and opens in the quarterfinal round with the 9am opener.
The Bear Creek School now 17-8, will look to rebound quickly as they will play on Wednesday at 12:15pm facing (12) Wapato in a loser out game.
(11) Overlake 64, (14) Elma 56
The Overlake Owls held off a determined Eagles team from Elma and confirmed their trip to Yakima. The Owls will get the 3 seeded Royal Knights who were upset by 6 seed King’s. Overlake is now 18-7 and will play in the opening game on Wednesday in the SunDome at 9am with the winner to the quarters and loser done for the season.
Elma fell short of getting to the SunDome and finished the year with a 14-7 record.
2B Girls
Friday, Feb 27
(1) Napavine 62, (8) Mt Vernon Chr 34
The #1 ranked team had little trouble advancing to Thursday’s quarterfinal round with the 10:30am game. Napavine will take their 20-4 record to Spokane and try to run it to the State title.
Mount Vernon Christian Hurricanes drop into the consoltion round and will play in a loser out game on opening day. They will have their hands full with 9 seeded Davenport who advanced with a dominating win over Mabton 72-39. The Hurricans and Gorilla’s will tip off in Spokane on Wednesday at 2pm.
(5) Cle Elum-Roslyn 87, (4) Reardan 56
A minor upset with the 5 over the 4 but the Cle Elum-Roslyn Warriors had little trouble in dispatching the Reardan Screaming Eagles and are headed to the quarterfinal in Spokane next Thursday. The Warriors are now 21-5 and get the 9am game on Thursday.
Reardan falls to 20-5 and will play next Wednesday in the opening round of the 2B tournament in the Spokane Arena. The Screaming Eagles will face (12) Raymond-South Bend in a loser out opening round game.
(9) Davenport 72, (16) Mabton 39
The Gorillas cruised to the Spokane Arena with a dominant win over Mabton. Davenport will take on 8 seeded Mount Vernon Christian at 2pm next Wednesday in a winner to quarters, loser out game. Davenport is now 20-5.
Mabton dropped to 14-11 as their season came to an end.
(10) Colfax 61, (15) Okanogan 48
In a match-up of Bulldogs it was the Colfax Bulldogs getting a big emotional win after the Bulldogs boys coach Reece Jenkin passed away Friday morning from pancreatic cancer. Jenkin’s son Adrik played for him and his Allie starts on the girls team. They both played in their games Friday night and Allie with her Dad watching over her scored 41 for the Bulldogs.
With the win the Bulldogs advance to next Wednesday’s round of 12 in Spokane and will take on (7) Adna. Colfax improves to 16-10.
Okanogan had their season come to an end short of getting to the Spokane Arena and finishes the season 14-12.
Saturday, Feb 28
(2) NW Christian (Colbert) 57, (7) Adna 50
Last year the Crusaders were the 8 seed and upset the Pirates in the State Championship game. This year in a re-match, 23-1 NWC had enough to hold off Adna once against to push the Crusaders into the quarterfinal round. NWC will open up in Spokane with the 2pm game.
Adna now 20-5 will need to win on opening day in the round of 12 when they take on (10) Colfax in a loser out game.
(3) Brewster 49, (6) Toutle Lake 46
The 22-2 Brewster Bears needed to dig down and pull out their 22nd win over a tenacious Toutle Lake team to get to the Thursday quarterfinal round in Spokane with their win on Saturday. The Bears are guaranteed 2 more games and a win on Thursday gets them to trophy day. They will tip-off at 12:15pm.
The Fighting Ducks will get a chance for redemption and will have to play a loser out game next Wednesday at 9am. The 18-6 Ducks will open the tournament with a game against #11 Lake Roosevelt with their season on the line.
(11) Lake Roosevelt 66, (14) Orcas Island 42
The Lake Roosevelt Raiders were in control of this potential season ending game and have advanced to the Spokane Arena for at least one more game. The 14-10 Raiders will play in the round of 12 in a loser out game with the winner to the quarters on Wednesday at 9am. They will face (6) Toutle Lake.
The Orcas Island Vikings fell short in getting to Spokane and finished 14-10 for the year.
(12) Raymond-South Bend 50, (13) La Conner 40
The RSB Ravens pulled away in the end to end the Braves season and kept there’s alive. Raymond-South Bend will open up in Spokane on Wednesday in the round of 12 with the winner headed to the quarters and loser out. The 19-7 Ravens will face (4) Reardan at 12:15pm.
La Conner came up short of going back to Spokane and finished the season 19-8.
2B Boys
Friday, Feb 27
(1) Colfax 96, (8) Liberty Bell 49
The emotion was at an all-time high with the announcement that Bulldog coach Reece Jenkin had passed away from his battle with pancreatic cancer Friday morning. Coach Reece’s son Adrik is on the team and played as his father wanted him to do. Adrik didn’t disappoint knocking down 34 points to lead the Bulldogs to a convincing regional win. The Bulldogs remain unbeaten at 23-0 and head to the quarterfinals at the Spokane Arena on Thursday with a 5:30pm tip-off.
The Liberty Bell Lions drop to 20-5 and likely will be able to get by this loss but will need to find a win on opening day against a tough 9 seeded Adna Pirates with a 9pm tip-off.
(9) Adna 92, (16) Warden 47
The 9 seed Pirates rolled in their loser out contest with Warden. Adna will open up their State Tournament next Wednesday at the Spoakane Arena in another loser out game against Liberty Bell. Tip-off will be the night-cap at 9pm. The Pirates are now 22-4 on the season. Warden’s season comes to an end with a 13-14 record.
Saturday, Feb 28
(2) NW Christian (Colbert) 58, (7) Napavine 55
The Crusaders improved to 23-2 after holding on late to knock off a battling Napavine Tigers squad. NWC advances to Thursday’s quarterfinals at the Spokane Arena and open in the nightcap at 9pm.
The Tigers drop to 19-6 and will play in a must win opener on Wednesday against (10) Freeman with a 5:30 start time.
(6) Reardan 60, (3) Okanogan 48
The Screaming Eagles got the job done upsetting the Okanogan Bulldogs. Reardan improves to 21-4 and moves right to Thursday and is guaranteed at least 2 more games. They’ll open in the quarters in Spokane with a 7:15pm tip-off.
Okanogan dropped to 19-3 and will play on opening day in a loser out round of 12 game. The Bulldogs will get the 3:45pm game against (11) Mount Vernon Christian.
(5) Tri Cities Prep 64, (4) Toledo 63
The Jaguars of Tri-Cities Prep traveled to Tumwater on Saturday and slipped past the 4 seed Toledo in a thriller. Tri-Cities Prep will open up in Spokane in the quarters on Thursday with the 3:45pm game.
The Riverhawks are looking at every missed shot or free throw knowing that could have been the difference bujt need to bounbce back quickly as they face a loser out game on Wednesday in the round of 12 against (12) Columbia (Burbank) tipping off at 7:15pm.
(10) Freeman 75, (15) Auburn Adventist 65
Freeman was the clear winner as the held off Auburn Adventist in this loser out regional. The Scotties now 16-9 advance to next Wednesday in the Spokane Arena with a 5:30pm game against (7) Napavine.
The Falcons had a good run this year but fell short of heading to Spokane and finish with a 17-6 record.
(11) Mt Vernon Christian 66, (14) Kittitas 47
The Hurricanes were all business and won comfortably over the Coyotes. Mt Vernon Christian is headed back to Spokane and will face another win or go home game on Wednesday. The ‘Canes open up against (3) Okanogan with the 3:45pm game.
Kittitas finished the year 18-7 as they fell short of moving onto the Arena.
(12) Columbia (Burbank) 68, (13) Ilwaco 54
The Coyotes took the early lead and were able to build on that thr0ughout the game to secure a comfortable win. Columbia (Burbank) now 15-11, gets their spot on opening day in Spokane with a 7:15pm tip-off. The Coyotes will get a (4) Toledo showdown.
Ilwaco started the season on fire but struggled down the stretch and fell short of their goal to play in Spokane. The Fishermen finished the season 17-5.
1B Girls
Friday, Feb 27
(1) Neah Bay 43, (8) Lummi Nation 41
The 3-time defending Champs got a scare but survived the 8 seeded Blackhawks. The Lady Reds will go straight to the quarterfinal round next Thursday and will have a 5:30pm start time. Neah Bay at 21-2 is the team to beat as they attempt to bring home their 4th State Championship in a row.
Lummi Nation is not out, the 8 seed drops into the consolation round and will play on Wednesday at 9pm against (9) Almira-Coulee-Hartline in a loser out contest.

(2) Garfield-Palouse 47, (7) Pateros 44
The Vikings of Garfield-Palouse escaped the upset minded Pateros Nannies and advanced directly to the quarterfinal round in Spokane on Thursday. The Vikings now 23-2 will open up with the nightcap game at 9pm.
Pateros will need to win on Wednesday in the round of 12 to extend their season. The Nannies will play at 5:30pm against (10) Pe Ell.
(3) Waterville-Mansfield 73, (6) Crosspoint Christian 67 (OT)
The Shockers avoided a shock and held off the upset minded Crosspoint Wildcats with a thrilling OT win to advance to Spokane and the quarterfinals. W-M improves to 17-5 gets the 7:15pm Thursday night game.
The Wildcats drop to 20-6 and will need to pull out a win on opening day to advance to the quarters. Crosspoint will face (11) Liberty Christian.
(5) Oakesdale 61, (4) Yakama Tribal 49
The Oakesdale Nighthawks have quite a history in the state tournament and it showed up today knocking off the higher seeded Yakama Tribal Eagles by double digits. The Nighthawks improved to 20-3 and they’ll open up state play on Thursday in Spokane at 3:45pm.
The 24-4 Eagles drop into the round of 12 and open up on Wednesday with a 7:15pm game against Pomeroy in a loser out showdown.
(9) Almira-Coulee-Hartline 53, (16) Muckleshoot Tribal 41
The Warriors of A-C-H clamped down on the defense and had enough offense to pull away and get the invitation to Spokane. Now 19-5 the Warriors will battle 8 seed Lummi Nation in a must win game.
Muckleshoot Tribal fell short in their goal of heading to Spokane and finished the season with an overall 15-12 record.
(10) Pe Ell 54, (15) Valley Christian 29
The Pe Ell Trojans rolled to a big win and are heading to the Spokane Arena on Wednesday. The Trojans now 16-7, will playn in the round of 12 in a loser out contest at 5:30pm against (7) Pateros.
The Valley Christian Panthers had time run out on their season and they finished the year 19-6.
(11) Liberty Christian 43, (14) Taholah 37
In a tough defensive battle the two teams went back and forth but the Liberty Christian Patriots were able to extend enough to get the win. The 16-7 Patriots will play on Wednesday at 3:45pm and will face 6 seed Crosspoint in a winner to the quarters, loser out contest.
The Taholah Chitwins had their season come to a close after a solid effort but just came up short and finished the year 17-6.
(13) Pomeroy 56, (12) Naselle 53 OT
This was a great game, one of those it’s too bad either team had to lose, especially in a loser out game. The Pirates pulled it out in the end and are heading to Spokane. The 18-6 Pirates will face (4) seed Yakama Tribal at 7:15pm with a trip to the quarters on the line.
The Naselle Comets finished the year at 17-6 just missing a trip to state.
1B Boys
Friday, Feb 27
(10) Sunnyside Christian 66, (15) Wellpinit 65
In a thriller the Sunnyside Christian Knights got their 14th win of the season but more importantly earned a trip to Spokane next Wednesday. The Knights avoide the upset minded Wellpinit Redskins to hold on. They will now play on opening day at 10:30am against (7) Neah Bay.
Wellpinit just missed getting back to the Arena and finished the season 14-9.
(11) Muckleshoot Tribal 57, (14) Garfield-Palouse 46
Muckleshoot Tribal built a lead and then held the Vikings at bay to notch the win and qualify to the round of 12 and keep their season alive. Muckleshoot Tribal will put their 21-5 record on the line in a winner to the quarters/loser out opening round game against (6) Liberty Christian.
Garfield-Palouse had their season fall short of getting to Spokane and finished 19-8.
Saturday, Feb 28
(1) Lummi Nation 78, (8) Wahkiakum 49
The top ranked Blackhawks showed they are ready to make that deep run at the big gold ball this year as they improve to 25-1. Lummi Nation will get to the 10:30am on Thursday.
The Wahkiakum Mules will re-group and forget about the regional as quick as possible. The Mules will play on opening day at 2pm and face (17) Columbia Adventist.
(2) Almira-Coulee-Hartline 64, (7) Neah Bay 51
The Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors finished 2nd last year and are looking to finsih the job this season. The Warriors improved to 23-1 and will open up the 2026 state play next Thurday in Spokane at 2pm in the quarterfinals.
7 seed Neah Bay now 18-6 will have to play in the loser out opening round of 12 on Wednesday. The Red Devils will take on 10 seed Sunnyside Christian at 10:30am.
(3) Tulalip Heritage 70, (6) Liberty Christian 63
The Tulalip Heritage Hawks were challenged by the Liberty Christian Patriots but able to keep them just out of reach of pulling off the upset. The Hawks improve to 20-6 and head to the quarterfinal round next Thursday in Spokane with a 12:15pm tip.
The 22-2 Patriots get another shot but are now in a must win game on opening day in the Arena when they take on 11 seed Muckleshoot Tribal at 9am.
(4) DeSales 80, (5) Moses Lk/Covenent Chr 69
The DeSales Irish came out on fire offensively putting up 80 and was plenty to hold off Moses Lake Covenant Christian sending them to the round of 12. The Irish now 21-4 will open their State schedule on Thursday in the quarterfinals with the opener at 9am.
The Lions drop to 20-3 and will play on Wednesday in a loser out game. They will face (12) Touchet at 12:15pm.
(17) Columbia Adventist 63, (9) Willapa Valley 60
Columbia Adventist stunned the 9 seed Willapa Valley sending the Vikings home while the Kodiaks head to Spokane. The Kodiaks are now 18-7 and will open up on Wednesday in the round of 12, loser out game against 8 seed Wahkiakum at 2pm.
The Vikings surely disappointed in falling short ended the year at 17-7.
(12) Touchet 55, (13) Summit Classical 45
The Touchet Indians pulled away late to send the Archers of Summit Classical home. Touchet now 16-8 will get to Spokane for a Wednesday win to get to the quarters or lose and go home game against (5) Moses Lake/Covenant Christian at 12:15pm.
Summit Classical had a solid season falling short of getting to the Arena with an overall 19-9 mark.
