Saint Martin’s forward, Avery Oaster, was named GNAC Player of the Week after setting the program record for most made field goals in a game. Oaster made 15 baskets against Northwest Nazarene last Thursday, going for a career-high 30 points and a career-high 16 rebounds. Against #13 Central Washington on Saturday, Oaster had another double-double, with 10 points and 10 boards. Oaster has been on fire lately, recording double-doubles in four of the last five games. This is the second time this season Oaster has been awarded with GNAC Player of the Week honors.

The Saints head to Alaska for the final two games of the regular season. Saint Martin’s takes on the Alaska Nanooks on Thursday before facing Alaska-Anchorage on Saturday. The Saints will be in the GNAC Championships, and currently sit in third place in the conference, with a record of 12-4 and 16-9 overall. Saint Martin’s needs to win both games, and Western Washington needs to lose both of their games for the Saints to clinch second place outright and secure the bye from the GNAC Championships Quarterfinals.
