(Bandon, OR) The 58th PGA Professional Championship hit the Oregon coast and the great Bandon Dunes Resort. Over 300 PGA of America Professionals battled it out over four days, with the top 20 securing their spot in the PGA Championship next month. The Bandon Dunes and Pacific Dunes courses were used for the first two rounds, and the Bandon Dunes course hosted the final two rounds for all competitors.
Bainbridge Island’s Austin Hurt took home a T-4 finish and was in control the entire week. Hurt erupted with a first-round 64 at Bandon Dunes. His eight-under round was the lowest round of the Championship. Hurt followed up with an even-par 71 on the Pacific Dunes course to remain in the lead after the second round.
