As we come to the end of May, we are now into the thick of things for State Baseball and we will crown new state champions in just under a week. 

For the 2A state baseball tournament, the defending champions in the Bainbridge Spartans will look to retain their title as they enter the tournament as the #1 seed. They will have some new challengers as the runner-ups in Anacortes did not make state this year. The Spartans win ended District 4’s reign over the classification, but #2 seed Tumwater along with #5 WF West and #6 Columbia River will look to take the title back to the district. Othello, West Valley (Spokane), Ellensburg, and Selah will try to take the title back to Eastern Washington for the first time since Selah won it in 2019.

Below are the regional matchups, link to State Bracket and as the tournament rolls on we will post the most recent games and coverage at the top of the story. We will cover our games and try to find additional coverage from other media groups and link their stories and coverage to those that we find.
