South Sound Speedway: Bob Presley Wins Super Late Model Main

South Sound Speedway hosted an action-packed night on Saturday, May 23, 2026, featuring five racing divisions:
Powersports NW Super Late Models (4 cars, 50 laps),CSM Heating Cooling, Roofing & Solar South Sound Modifieds (6 cars, 30 laps), Legends (10 cars, 35 laps), Young Lions (4 cars, 15 laps), Bandoleros (11 cars, 15 laps), Pro 4 Trucks and Auto Tech Mini Stocks (9 cars, 30 laps).

Powersports NW Super Late Models Main Event

Robert Clark began on the pole and Tom Sweatman on the outside. Sweatman took the lead on lap 1, and Bob Presley moved to the front on lap 4. On lap 11, Sweatman and Jeff Peterson made contact in turn 4 to bring out the first caution. Presley went on to win the 50-lap main event, followed by Peterson, Sweatman, and Clark.
Fast time: Bob Presley, 13.944.

CSM Heating Cooling, Roofing & Solar South Sound Modifieds Main Event

The race started with Heather Watson on the pole and Gage Sharp on the outside. Riley Watson spun immediately after the green flag to bring out caution No. 1. Sharp led lap 1, Dan Walker took over on lap 3, and Riley Watson moved back to the front on lap 17. Watson went on to win the 30-lap main, followed by Walker, Kalob Watson, Sharp, and Royce Iverson.
Fast time: Riley Watson, 14.968.
Heat race winner: Gage Sharp.

Legends Main Event

As they rolled off the start line, Roland McPeake on the pole with Madi Weber on the outside. McPeake took the lead on lap 1. Debris in turns 3 and 4 brought out caution No. 1 on the opening lap. On the restart, Josh Wharton, Ryley Hamness, Taylor Shumaker, and Weber spun to trigger caution No. 2. Shane Sawin took the lead on lap 4 and went on to win the 35-lap main event, followed by Dylan Wolf, McPeake, Grayson Miller, and Wharton.
Fast time: Shane Sawin, 15.576.
Heat race winners: Grayson Miller (No. 1) and Dylan Wolf (No. 2).

Young Lions Main Event

Leilani Langston won the pole and Carter Sweatman on the outside. Sweatman led lap 1, and Caleb Canfield took over on lap 4. Sweatman spun on the backstretch on lap 10 to bring out caution No. 1, and Richie Rector spun on the frontstretch on lap 11 for caution No. 2. Sweatman regained the lead on lap 12 and went on to win the 15-lap main event, followed by Canfield, Langston, and Rector.
Fast time: Caleb Canfield, 16.035.
Heat race winner: Caleb Canfield.

Bandolero Main Event

T.J. Schlund was on the pole and never gave up that position. Karsen Schlund and Mason Hedrick spun in turn 2 just after the green flag, bringing out caution No. 1. T.J. Schlund took the lead on lap 1 and went on to win the 15-lap main event, followed by Thatcher Olsen, Mason Hedrick, Hudson O’Harrow, and Rylan Presley.
Fast time: T.J. Schlund, 18.273.
Heat race winners: T.J. Schlund (No. 1) and Mason Hedrick (No. 2).

Auto Tech Mini Stocks / Pro 4 Trucks Event

On the pole was Mac Angeledes when the flog dropped and Jeremy Howe on the outside. Rod Helmuth slowed in turns 1 and 2 after the green flag, bringing out caution No. 1. Angeledes led lap 1 before Jesse Gonzales, Angeledes, and Pete Brady made contact in turns 1 and 2 to trigger caution No. 2. Greg Vaughn took the lead on lap 2, and McKenna Cox moved to the front on lap 5 and stayed there for the win in the 30-lap main event. Charles LaMere finished second, followed by Vaughn, Josue Leyva, and Howe.
Fast time: Charles LaMere, 15.909.
