Emerald Downs Friday Night Racing
Track Notes: Todaro leads all owners with five wins at the meet. . .Kevin Krigger led the riders with three wins while Tim McCanna led trainers with two wins. . .McCanna’s double vaulted him to the top of the standings with nine wins. . .Former Emerald Downs riding champ Gallyn Mitchell is visiting from California this weekend. . .Deputy’s Dancer produced a meet-high $32.58 win pay in the nightcap, largest of the meet by $0.26.
5th Race Feature Race the Muckleshoot Resort Purse
Maximum Sparkle caught Alluring Valentine at the wire for a nose victory in Friday’s featured $16,500 Muckleshoot Casino Resort Purse for older fillies and mares at Emerald Downs.
Ridden by Adrian Castellanos, Maximum Sparkle ran six panels in 1:10.04, returning $4.18 as the betting favorite. Tom Wenzel—saddling his 499th winner at Emerald Downs—is the winning trainer for owner George Todaro.
Unbeaten in two starts at the meet, Maximum Sparkle earned $9,405 to boost her career total to $58,120. A 4-year-old filly by Instagrand, she owns an overall mark of 3-3-3 in 14 starts.
Alluring Valentine, bidding for her third straight win at the meet, forged to the lead into the lane and just failed to last for the victory.
Swift Caro, also from the Wenzel barn, finished third with Coiffeur, Annika’s Song, Mimi Kai, and Exington rounding out the order of finish.

odds-on Happy Is with Karlo Lopez was 2nd, Dandy Day and Silvio Amador was a clear 3rd over 4th place Shady Harbor under Pablo Castillo.

A field of 5 went 6 furlongs and 1-2 favorite Mr Executive powered to a length win over 3-1 Regarding Harry in a time of 1:10.34. Kevin Krigger with a well timed front end run battling with Harry and Allyssa Morales the entire way got the win for owner Rally Cap Stable and trainer Blaine Wright.
7-2 Kyalam and Karlo Lopez was 3rd with Rocksalot and Pablo Castillo finishing 4th.
Mr Executive is a Washington bred by Grazen out of Charmer Lo by Girolamo and was bred by Ron Crockett Inc and Mr and Mrs William Griffin.

After a 6-1 opening win the big favorites would show their dominance in the next 4 races continuing with odds-on Princess Hekawi with a nice stalking win from pilot Kevin Krigger for his 2nd win of the day. Princess Hekawi won by 2 lengths in the 1 mile run in a final time of 1:37.59. Royal Victory Thoroughbreds and Tim McCanna are the owners and McCanna trains.
Bangie Go with Blake Nunnally took the place money, Vulin and Silvio Amador ran 3rd while front runner Chatty Leroybrown under Frank Alvarado ran 4th.

Kevin Krigger would get his 3rd win of the night as the 8-5 betting choice Eddiecoyle getting up late by a 1/2 length in the 5 furlong sprint. Eddiecoyle is owned and trained by Tim McCanna. The 3-year-old gelding is a Washington bred by Daddysprize out of Victorys Legacy by Harbor the Gold and was bred by Antonio Martinez.
Melvins Lute at 6-1 battled the favorite through the length of the stretch but just missed in a hard ride from Lenny Seecharan. Oneonta and Taliyah Timentwa took 3rd with Halo’s Valor and Karlo Lopez completing the superfecta.

Friday night began with a longshot and then completed the favorite sandwich with 15-1 Deputy’s Dancer and Alex Cruz holding off all challengers on the front end going 6 1/2 furlongs. Cruz and Deputy had a 2 length lead at the top of the stretch and won by a 1/2 length in a final time of 1:17.73. Deputy Dancer races for Joe and Gloria Russo and trained by Patty Leaney.
Slew Skies nearly gave Kevin Krigger 4 wins on the night but settled for 2nd, Five Twenty Sunset and Silvio Amador took the show money, Tiz Grazen and Adrian Castellanos finished 4th and Keep It Coming with Blake Nunnally completed the Super Hi 5.
