The 105th Washington Men’s Amateur Championship is holding five qualifiers across the state. The championship will be held at The Home Course in DuPont from June 23-25. There is a set number of players at each site that will qualify for the state championship, and any ties will be settled with a hole-by-hole playoff. Below are all five qualifiers with the names of the players who have advanced to this month’s championship.
Qualifier #1 – Lake Spanaway Golf Course (24 Spots)
Seattle’s Lucas Williams set the pace at Lake Spanaway, shooting a two-under 69 to take the top spot by just one shot. Seattle’s Isaac Elaina, Sun City, Arizona’s Kora Lee, and Scottsdale, Arizona’s Elias Tunison tied for second at one-under. Seattle’s Rhowe Stefanski, Olympia’s Tyler Kanda, and Issaquah’s Lucas Shiflett all shot even-par 71s to share fifth place. A plethora of players shot one-over, Lakewood’s Max Burns, Renton’s Soren Bostrom, Sumner’s Chris Lumsden, Seattle’s Jake Utley, Tacoma’s Alex N. Lee, and Snoqualmie’s Cooper Gaffney all snuck just inside the top 10 to share eighth.
Puyallup’s Jacob Janho, Renton’s Logan Zehner, Bellevue’s Timothy Mondonedo, Snoqualmie’s Alex Wunderlich, and Kenneth City, Florida’s Jeff Kinney all shot two-over to tie for 14th. There were seven players who tied for 19th and shot three-over but there was room for only six players. Mineral’s Andrew Wiklund, Lake Stevens’ Ryan Knox, University Place’s Teagan Oakes, Issaquah’s Trevor Rismon, Buckley’s Talon Mollichi, and Puyallup’s Keith Mcarthur all scooped up the final spots to this month’s championship.
Seattle’s Tyler Kalberg also shot three-over but ended up as the first alternate. Out of the nine players who shot four-over, only three of them would be the alternates. Olympia’s Treyton Moss is the second alternate, Seattle’s Peter Bennett is the third alternate, and Kirkland’s Eric Brault was the fourth and final alternate from the site.

Qualifier #2 – Canyon Lakes Golf Course (9 Spots)
It was a tricky day at Canyon Lakes Golf Course, with no one sniffing under par, but Kennewick’s Kent Hagen outlasted everyone to shoot a two-over 74 for the low round of the day. Othello’s Tj Murdock shot a three-over 75 to finish one shot back of Hagen. Spokane’s Blake Reifsnyder, Kirkland’s Brock Olson, and Kennewick’s Apollos Morris all tied for third at five-over. The final spots were secured by four players who all shot six-over. Wapato’s Hunter Jacob, Yakima’s Brad Hansen, Kennewick’s Sota Nozaka, and Richland’s Kaedon Smith all secured the last spots to DuPont.
Ephrata’s Seve Molitor was one shot out of a playoff and shot seven-over but is the first alternate from this site. Richland’s Carter Sheets is the second alternate, Kennewick’s Elijah Harrell is the third alternate, and Snoqualmie’s Jacoby Schmidlapp is the fourth and last alternate from Canyon Lakes.

Qualifier #3 – The Home Course (25 Spots)
At the host site of the Men’s Amateur, The Home Course gave over 100 players a sneak preview of what’s to come later this month. Puyallup’s Jonas Kim, Bellevue’s Benjamin Kim, and Newcastle’s Kai Lambro all shot four-under 68s for the rounds of the day. Seattle’s Erik Heggelund and Ben Minyard each shot three-under to tie for fourth. Seattle’s Collin Roberts and Charlie Stephens, Federal Way’s Spencer Clapp, and Ethel’s Warren Ayers all shot two-under and tied for sixth. Tying for 10th was Des Moines’ Garrett Gants, Sammamish’s Ethan Yang, Port Orchard’s Gunnar Stein, and Battle Ground’s Ty Robertson, all shot one-under.
Carnation’s Garrett Stephens, Seattle’s Jack Holberg and Henry Mills, Sammamish’s Eshan Singh, Maple Valley’s Josh Schireman, and Puyallup’s Spencer Ofelt all shot even-par to tie for 14th. There were 10 players who shot one over par, but only six of them would secure a spot in the Men’s Amateur. Issaquah’s Ethan Schwan, Seattle’s Richard Moore, Bremerton’s Cameron Dubos, Tacoma’s Owen Price, Mukilteo’s Brian Moon, and Edgewood’s Dallon Bennett all advanced.
The remaining four who didn’t make the cut were the four alternates from the site. Seattle’s Benjamin Willetts is the first alternate, Seabeck’s Ben Zimney is the second alternate, Renton’s Peter Graves is the third alternate, and Seattle’s Jonathan Tran is the fourth alternate.

Qualifier #4 – Liberty Lake Golf Course (14 Spots)
The fourth qualifier went east, where 14 spots were up for grabs. Wenatchee’s Callan Anderson took home the top spot with a four-under round of 66. Spokane’s Teigen Brill was one shot back of Anderson, with a three-under round of 67 to record second place. Four players tied for third, all shooting two-under as East Wenatchee’s Andy Hobson, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho’s Shane Sundberg, Kellogg, Idaho’s, Stephen Paul, and Hayden, Idaho’s Grant Potter all shot to secure their spot at The Home Course. Tying for seventh, Spokane’s Dillon Schrock, Bradley Mulder, Bryce Johnson, and Cameron Cantillana all shot even par. In a tie for 11th, Walla Walla’s Jake Warwick, Spokane’s Benjamin Barrett, and Hayden, Idaho’s Ethan Lavalley all shot two-over. The final spot went to Spokane’s Justin Krasselt, who shot three-over par.
Priest Lake, Idaho’s Luke Butler, is the first alternate, and Pullman’s Trae Fredrickson is the second alternate, both shot three-over. Liberty Lake’s Brian Ault is the third alternate, and Spokane’s Jakeb Vallance is the fourth alternate, with Ault and Vallance each shooting four-over.

Qualifier #5 – North Bellingham Golf Course (21 Spots)
The final Washington Men’s Amateur Qualifier headed north to Bellingham as another competitive day unfolded. Henry Kippenhan and Tristan Kim shared first place with three-under 69s. Wyatt Brook and Logan Medcalf were one shot back of first and tied for third with two-under rounds of 70. Mex Osten, Davis Mills, and David Sibbett were the remaining players to fire under par rounds, all of which were one-under 71s.
10% of the field tied for eighth, with even par rounds of 72. Colten Kleis, Kyle Fish, Nick Ennis, Wilson Dicks, Daniel Blankenburg, Tyson Arthur, Wyatt Brownell, Ayden Stack, Ryan Vest, and Eric Joo all rounded out the top 10. Gordon Rounds, Daniel Perrino, and Manny Lalh all shot one-over rounds of 73 to tie for 18th and be one shot clear of a playoff. The final spot came down to six players who all shot 74. Ty Hagen survived the playoff to secure the 21st and final spot from this site.
Benjamin Van Hollebeke is the first alternate, Mark Strickland is the second alternate, Jeff Nelson is the third alternate, and Daniel Kim is the fourth alternate from this qualifying site.
