(Auburn, WA) The nation’s premiere Corgi races return to Emerald Downs June 27 & 28. Over 175 Corgis are ready to compete including some of the fastest Corgi Racers in the Country! For the sixth straight year the races will air later this summer on ESPN2.

Since the first national broadcast in 2021 Corgi racing has grown throughout the region, country, and world! Track Promotions Manager Gary Dougherty says, “We now see Corgi races at NFL Halftimes, basketball, local events and even hockey. The dogs are getting faster every year as they get more racing experience.”

The Corgi to beat this year is the defending champ, Gustave the Girl Dog, who defeated a field last year that included three former champions! Gustave is owned by Alicia & Dustin from Seattle.

The on-track host and host of the broadcast on ESPN2 will once again be Alex Wilson from The Weather Channel. The forecast for Sunday looks perfect for the Corgis. In a twist this year all the qualifying heats will be 40 yards but the Final race will be 50 yards. A portion of admission proceeds for the weekend will be donated to the Auburn Valley Humane Society.

Weekend Schedule (both days):

First Horse Race 1:50 PM

First Corgi Race 2:20 PM

Admission: Adults $10 – Ages 13-17 $5 – Ages 12 and Under are FREE
