(Nashville, TN) Seattle Seahawk receiver Jake Bobo suffered an apparent season ending knee injury on Friday during a joint practice with the Tennessee Titans. The Seahawks left early for their game with the Titans on Sunday and scheduled the joint practice for today.

Unlike many of the other recent joint practices that have broken out into brawls between the teams, this one had a few moments, but cooler heads prevailed avoiding a big fight. Bobo’s injury was due to an awkward fall after making a catch and appears to have suffered a major knee injury.

After practice head coach Mike Mcdonald told reporters the early diagnosis is a severe injury, but they will be getting it imaged to confirm the initial conclusion.

The Seahawk surprised many when they signed Bobo this off-season by matching a 2-year, 5.5-million-dollar contract offered by Jacksonville last March.

Bobo is a team favorite because of his all-around contributions to the team. As a receiver his stats certainly don’t stand out as he caught just 2 passes last season and has 3 touchdowns since making the team as an undrafted free agent in 2023.

Bobo’s commitment to play special teams and do whatever was needed to help the team has made him one of the more beloved team mates on the Seahawks squad.

With Bobo now out, it has impacted an already understaffed receivers’ room. Jaxon Smith-Njigba leads the receivers of course along with Cooper Kupp and Rashid Shaheed.

General Manager John Schneider is likely already on the phones looking for additional receivers to fill the hole Bobo’s absence has created.
