Washington 42, Clover Park 0

(Lakewood, WA) After earning their first win of the season last week, the Washington Patriots continued league play when they visited the Clover Park Timberwolves last night. Washington would take care of business, as they look to get back to the playoffs, with a very impressive defensive effort. The Patriots worked their way back to a .500 record with a 42-0 win over the Timberwolves.

Our Education as a Career MVP went to the entire offensive and defensive line for Washington. Just some of the guys that dominated in the trenches were Tauga Aiono, Randall Sauileone, Karlin Misiluki, Jordan Pelupelu, and AJ Sufia. For a position that doesn’t always get the love they deserve, these guys absolutely dominated up front on both sides of the ball. Washington shut down the Clover Park rushing attack and on the offensive side of the ball, they provided ample running room for all of the Patriot running backs.

Washington moves to 2-2 with all four of their games so far coming in league play. The Patriots will face a stiff test next week when they travel to take on Fife. Clover Park drops to 2-2 and 1-2 in SPSL 2A play. The Timberwolves will try to bounce back with a trip to take on White River. Both games will be on Friday, September 29th at 7pm.
