Curtis 58 Puyallup 46

(University Place, WA) The Curtis Vikings got off to a hot start in the first half thanks to Freshman guard Keaundre Morris (15 pts) and Senior guard Devin Whitten (7 pts). While Drew Jones led Puyallup in scoring at the half with 11 points. Curtis had an 8 point lead after the first quarter and that deemed to be the magic number for the night. Seemingly every time Puyallup got with in 8 points Curtis would hit a big shot to keep Puyallup at an arm’s length distance. Curtis held a 34-21 lead at the half.

In the second half Curtis defense held Puyallup even with starters Whitten and Will Torrone in foul trouble. Isaiah Sonntag scored in 8 points with Will Nasinec pitching in all 7 of his points in 2nd half for Puyallup. Morris Would lead all scorers with 19 for the game but it was clutch plays and 7 second half points that would earn Curtis’s Brandon Logan out Education as a Career MVP.
