Haley Agena and Bridget Johnson were named GNAC Players of the Week this week after both ladies had big weeks on the diamond. Agena was named the Player of the Week, going 8-15 at the Stanislaus State Invitational, and defensively was error-free in center field. Agena is off to a terrific start with the bat, hitting .500 in 10 games. Bridget Johnson was named the Pitcher of the Week, throwing 10 1/3 innings while giving up just two runs. She’s 3-0 on the bump with a 3.34 ERA in five appearances. Johnson is from Bothell and went to Snohomish High School.

Saint Martin’s is 6-4 on the season and has the weekend off before heading to Tracy, California, for the West Region Crossover Tournament from Friday, February 27, to Sunday, March 1. Saint Martin’s first home games of the year will be the following weekend, on March 6 and 7, when the Western Washington Vikings come to town in the GNAC opener.
