1A Championship Match May 30th
#12 Meridian 0 #2 Vashon Island 3
The Vashon Island Pirates win the 1A Championship with a 3-0 win over Meridian. The Trojans had a great run making the state championship in their first trip to the final four as a 12 seed. The Pirates took the lead in the first half thanks to a Mason Haynes brace. Haynes got goals in the 15th and 32nd minutes. Vashon’s Ryland Knodt scored the final goal of the match in the 50th minute. Vashon Island wins their 2nd State Title in boys soccer. The Pirates had 3 players score 2 goals through the 1A tournament. Evenan Shrestha had a brace in the Cedar Park Christian match. Rylan Knodt scored a goal in both the semis and championship game. Meridian wins their first ever trophy in program history.

#16 Wahluke 0 #6 Cedar Park Christian 3
Cedar Park Christian wins the 3rd place trophy behind a pair of goals by senior midfielder Beckham Mischel. Mischel’s goals in the 13th and 40th minutes along with the goal in the Vashon match gave him the most goals in the 1A Tournament. Freshman Petros Tselios added a goal for the Eagles in the 54th in the 3-0 win.

#6 Cedar Park Christian 1 #2 Vashon Island 4
Vashon Island jumped out to a quick lead after junior Ryland Knodt scored in the 3rd minute. The Pirates’ Quill Tegenfeldt-Pfohman added a goal in the 40 minute. Vashon then got a pair of goals from Evanan Shrestha in the 60th and 71st minutes. Cedar Park Christian avoided the shutout on a Beckham Mischel goal in the 76th minute
Cedar Park Christian (Bothell) Eagles Emerald Sound 12-2-2
4th State Appearance
Cedar Park Christian last made the state tournament in 2013 where they fell in the first round to Chelan. They have one trophy, a 4th place from 2011. The Eagles are looking to add a bigger trophy to their case this season.
Vashon Island Pirates Nisqually 15-1-3
9th State Appearance
After taking home 4th in 2024 Vashon Island missed the state tournament last season. The Pirates also have a 3rd place trophy from 1988. Vashon Island has a title from 2019. Will this be the year they add a 2nd title?
#16 Wahluke 0 #12 Meridian 1
Meridian makes their first ever boys soccer State Championship match on a goal from sophomore Dakota Ng in the 20th minute. The Trojans would hold Wahluke scoreless in the match.
Wahluke Warriors South Central Athletic Conference 16-6-1
20th State Appearance
Wahluke is the most decorated team in the 1A tournament with 9 boys soccer trophies. The Warriors are 5-2 in title games after going back to back in 2010 and 2011. They have three 2A titles in 2000,2004 and 2005. Their last trophies were both 2nd place when they fell to Overlake in 2018 and 2017. The Warriors last made the tournament in 2024 a 2nd round exit thanks to Seton Catholic.
Meridian Trojans Northwest Conference 13-4-3
6th State Appearance
Meridian is in uncharted territory having never placed in the state tournament. Last season was the Trojans first time getting out of the first round. This season will end with a first trophy in boys soccer. Can the Trojans take the big trophy in their first attempt?
