6/14/2026

(Auburn, WA) Sunday was the finale of the 10th annual Muckleshoot Gold Cup Indian Relay races and 8 thoroughbred races were also on tap. Under sunny  and hot conditions the racing was fast, colorful, special and a spectacle to witness. The mixture of the historic Indian races with just a bridle and the rider and teams’ skills with the speed and power of the magnificent thoroughbred truly makes this one of the best days of racing.

We were not able to be on track this weekend but special thanks to Vince Bruun and the Emerald crew for sharing information we were not able to get to report for the week. All photos by Palmer photography.
