(Omaha, NE) The 2026 College World series is coming down to the final game of the season as North Carolina stayed alive with a Father’s Day win over Oklahoma, 6-2. It was the first loss for the Sooners in 9 games and now the season comes down to a winner-take-all 3rd and deciding game.

The Sooners handled the Tar Heels in the opener 9-3.

The 2nd seeded Sooners are looking for the 3rd National Championship and first one since 1994 while 5th seed North Carolina is seeking their 1st Championship in program history. The Tar Heels played for the big trophy in 2006 and 2007 losing both times to Oregon State.

Game time on Monday is 4pm Pacific.
