Mark your calendars! The Seattle Kraken released their 2026/2027 regular season schedule on Thursday morning and there are plenty of marquee match-ups you will want to be at. This will be the first season ever with an expanded schedule in the NHL as the game count as gone up two games from 82 to 84 for the upcoming season. Both of the additional two games will come against Pacific Division opponents. 

Seattle will begin the campaign on October 1st when they visit division foe in the Calgary Flames. The Kraken home opener takes place a few days later, on Sunday, October 4th also against Calgary. They will host defending Western Conference champions in the Vegas Golden Knights on October 6th. For the first time ever, the Kraken will be apart of the NHL Global Series and it will come against the defending Stanley Cup Champions. The Kraken will battle the Carolina Hurricanes in Helsinki, Finland on November 12th and 14th.

To go along with the excitement of a new schedule for the new season, the team announced a new ticket plan called “Build-A-Pack” which allows fans to select three to nine home games of their choosing. Fans can select their preferred games and seat locations and up to eight tickets per matchup. In other words, no navigating games on days of the week that are tougher to manage or hoping you can get in for a specific theme night or opponent.

Heading into their 6th season, the Kraken are trying to take that next step into becoming a contender after missing the playoffs due to a late season collapse to close out last season. Seattle has made the playoffs just once in franchise history and that was in year two when they upset the defending Stanley Cup Champions in the Colorado Avalanche in the first round before falling to the Dallas Stars in seven games in the Western Conference semifinals.
