(Auburn, WA) Sunday had a 9 card and looked like a chance for some price plays to hit but instead the favorites had another big day. As did Kanughty Knight with a front running win in the feature race. Silvio Amador found the Winners Circle 4 times on Sunday while trainers Howie Gibson and Joe Toye both doubled.

Joe Toye saddled two winners to move into ninth all-time among Emerald Downs trainers with 444 wins, one ahead of Roy Lumm. . .Howie Gibson also had a pair of wins and owns a 24-21 lead on defending champion Jorge Rosales atop the trainers’ standings. . .Silvio Amador rode four winners, his second four-bagger this season, and upped his lead to 54-45 on Kevin Krigger in the riders’ standings standings. . .Adrian Castellanos rode two winners and is third with 40 wins. . .Good Focus ($3.92) won his third straight at the meet and sixth overall in 2026, running 6 ½ furlongs in 1:16.36 under Allyssa Morales for Jim Gilmour. A 7-year-old Dialed In gelding, Good Focus has a 2026 record of 6-2-1 in 11starts and earnings of $49,730. . . Sunday’s handle totaled $1,155,988 on a nine-race card. . .Joe Withee did not hit the Jackpot Pick Six, and those with all six winners received a paltry $16.58. The carryover is $1,574.10. . .Live racing resumes Saturday, first post 1:50 p.m.

3rd Race Feature Race

Using her blazing speed to good advantage, Knaughty Knight opened a long early lead and held off Pearl Blue late for a one-length victory in Sunday’s $24,000 Muckleshoot Casino Purse for older fillies and mares.

With regular rider Blake Nunnally aboard, Knaughty Knight covered 6 ½ furlongs in 1:16.46 and paid $3.64 to win. Howie Gibson is the winning trainer and co-owner with breeders Ron and Nina Hagen of Enumclaw.

A 3-year-old daughter of Barkley out of Knight Club, Knaughty Knight is enjoying a stellar 2026 campaign, compiling two wins and a second from four starts, all in allowance company. Her overall mark is 3-1-0 in seven starts with earnings of $45,290, including Sunday’s first prize of $13,680.

Dictating terms from the bell, Knaughty Knight opened 3 ½ lengths while setting splits of :21.94 for the quarter mile, :44.10 for the half, and 1:09.69 for six furlongs. Although tiring slightly in the final furlong, Knaughty Knight held off Pearl Blue for the victory.

Pearl Blue, second choice at 3 to 2, kicked in strongly to finish second while Girl At Home finished third. She’s Vals Barkley and Samarolu rounded out the order of finish.

2nd favorite Creative Om led the whole trip around the track under Adrian Castellano to win by more than 4 lengths finishing the mile in a time of 1:35.13. Creative Om races for Tsujikawa Racing and Miranda Gibson and trained by Howie Gibson.

Odds on choice J B Books closed from last but was a clear second best with Alex Anaya, Pistol Power ridden by Blake Nunnally held 3rd while Y Vee R and Allyssa Morales taking 4th.

Another front running win on Sunday with 5-2 Playa Luna winning every pole with Frank Alvarado in the saddle covering the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:04.33. Leading owner George Todaro added another win for trainer Tom Wenzel.

Start Dreamin and Alex Cruz made her career debut and closed well to be 2nd, odds-on Majorical piloted by Silvio Amador took 3rd while Parade of Dreams with Adrian Castellano completed the superfecta.

A field of 5 went 6 1/2 furlongs and odds-on favorite Ginger in Charge under Silvio Amador sat just off the pace then engaged 9-5 Saint Mihiel and Adrain Castellano at the 1/8th pole and edged away to a 3/4 length victory. Ginger in Charge stopped the clock in 1:17.04 and is owned by Terra Firma Farm and trained by Joe Toye.

Saint Mihiel was 2nd, Hakuhia with Frank Alvarado ran 3rd and Bakburner ridden by Alex Anaya was 4th.

With a perfectly timed ride going 5 1/2 furlongs Oh My Vron came blowing by the whole field to get up and win by a nose over upset minded 11-1 Mamarando and Lenny Seecharan. 2-1 favorite Leah’s Lute and Silvio Amador ran a solid 3rd while Secret Hottie and Kevin Orozco ran on for 4th.

Oh My Vron is owned by Eliana Thompson and Gene Heredia and trained by Jorge Rosales.

9-2 Cozmic Brownie was too much for this 8 horse field going 6 furlongs. Sitting just behind the early speed Silvio Amador then released the brakes and swooped on by to pull away for a 2 length win in a final time of 1:11.18. Cozmic Brownie gave Terra Firma Farm their 2nd win sharing this victory with Sara Edwards and Joe Toye got his 2nd win of the day as well.

Tiz Dynamic closed from near the back of the pack under Kevin Krigger but settled for 2nd, Bruce’s Moose was making his career debut and got a solid 3rd place run guided by Alex Cruz and there was a dead heat for 4th between Raven Rendevous with Kevin Orozco and Haka and Frank Alvarado.

Silvio Amador pushed Calmcoolncollected out of the gate and to the lead in this 6 furlong dash. The duo would have a 2 length lead at the top of the stretch and make it hold up by a 1/2 length in a final time of 1:09.82. Calmcoolncollected races for Charles Richard Clark and trained by Steve Bullock.

Verdi with Jose Rodriguez needed another 20 yards coming up just short for 2nd, Jimmy B and Kevin Orozco took the show placing and 4th went to Swift Stephan and Frank Alvarado.

Good Focus is in great form right now and jockey Allyssa Morales handled him perfectly for the 1 length win going 6 1/2 furlongs. The final time was a solid 1:16.36. Team Gilmour strikes again with Good Focus being owned by Sue Gilmour and trained by Jim Gilmour.

Smiling Goodbye with Adrian Castellano was in the mix the whole way and ended up 2nd by a neck to 3rd place Tougherthantherest under Blake Nunnally who was clear of deep closer My Vino and Alex Cruz who took 4th.

2 scratches dropped the field to 5 and Upright went straight to the lead and simply extended it that advantage every step of the 3/4 mile run winning by more than 5 lengths and handing Silvio Amador his 2nd 4 win day of the season. The final time was 1:10.21 and Upright is owned and trained by Debbie Van Horne.

D K’s Crown and Kevin Orozco ran 2nd, 3rd went to Draw the Foul and Allyssa Morales, 4th place was Spectacular Tiger under Frank Alvarado and completing the Super High 5 was General Jimbo and Alex Anaya.
