With the current MLS season passing the halfway mark lets take a look at the upcoming changes to the league calendar. The biggest change is moving the season from a February-November season with a pause for the World Cup. The 2027 Major League Soccer season will transition to a July to May season that most of the Worlds biggest leagues currently play. There will be a shortened transition season so teams can qualify for tournaments and championships.
