Dallas 92, Seattle 70
(Dallas, Tx) The Seattle Storm came out slow again in the 1st half trailing 56-35 but this time there was no big comeback in the 2nd half as the Dallas Wings made sure there was no hope of a comeback.
The Storm did reel back 6 points in the 3rd quarter outscoring the Wings 23-17 but Dallas slammed the door in the 4th with a 19-12 run to secure an easy 92-70 victory.
For Dallas, Paige Bueckers was unstoppable dropping 32 points and was a sizzling hot 6 for 6 from behind the 3-point line. Jessica Shepard chipped in a double-douoble with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
For the Storm, Flau’jae Johnson led with 23 points and added 6 boards, 2 assists and 3 steals for a nice final stat line. Jade Melbourne hit for 15 and with a dozen points was Dominique Malonga.
Dallas improves to 22-16 and making a post season push currently in the 8th and final play-off position. The Wings have 6 games left in the regular season and are next on the road in Portland to face the Fire on Tuesday.
Seattle’s struggles continue and they remain in the basement with a 7-31 overall record. The Storm also has 6 regular season games left in their season with no chance of getting to post season. They will host Toronto on Wednesday.
