RA Long 7, Rochester 1

(Rochester, WA) The Lumberjacks rolled over the Warriors in this non-league match and did so immediately. RA Long scored within the 1st minute when Manny Cabrera fired a shot and scored giving the Jacks a quick 1-0 lead.

The scoring onslaught continued in the 12th minute when Manny Cabrera knocked in the 2nd goal on an assist from Gerardo Hernandez. Hernandez then got into the act with a beautiful shot getting Rochester Keeper Jackson Peltier into a 1 on 1 and drilled a bending shot around Peltier to go up 3-0. This also earned our ProActive Physical Therapy Play of the Game.

The Jacks weren’t done yet adding a 4th and 5th goal prior to halftime. Jesus Cabrera got into the act with a goal in the 23rd and Brady Anderson finished it off in stoppage time to go to the break up 5-0.

Rochester re-grouped and picked up their attacks but the backline and Keeper Jose Radillo held strong denying the Warriors any chance of cutting into the large lead. The Jacks finally struck in the 2nd 40-minutes and it was Anderson hitting from the outside in the 66th and then came right back getting his hat trick in the 68th to push the lead to 7-0.

Rochester would avoid the shut out in the 71st when Jesus Torres-Valdez nailed a shot from well outside into the upper corner to make it 7-1. The Jacks improve on the season to 2-2-0 while Rochester drops to 1-3-0. Our Tommy Lowe of Greene Realty Players of the Game went to Brady Anderson of RA Long and Jesus Torres-Valdez for Rochester.
